  • I'm afraid all the conventional rules are out the window. I mean when the stakes are becoming what they are, you do what needs done. That doesn't involve going to Congress, writing bills that will never get passed or going before a supreme court where the conclusion is decided before the case even gets underway.

Crying on CNN isn't going to stop what's going on, I know that much for sure.

  • They need to start fighting fire with fire. It's not like the other side is that intelligent in a lot of ways, so trying to fight with logic isn't going to get this done. Start a misinformation campaign like they do or something. Damn glad it ain't my problem, don't get me wrong. But I do see both sides of it, and democratic arrogance is how we are here too, in a lot of ways.

As brain dead as this is, maybe quit running women in must win elections. I ain't saying it's right, or that's fair or just (it shouldn't even be a thing). But it's literally stacking the odds against you in insurmountable fashion. Nothing against Kamala, but if was pretty clear right out of the gates she was going to lose, and they just ignored it.

  • It's time for Democrats to knock this shit off. Oh but the rules, but the rules.

PSA: People that openly flout laws and systems of order, don't give a shit about the rules bud. No wonder they lost. Load of impotent geeks is what they are.

  • It's dotcom 2.0. Just watch. The tech is in its infancy, and everyone's just run away to looneyville already. It can't deliver 1/1 trillionth of what everyone's already imagined it's supposedly capable of. I mean making photos of Super Mario committing 9/11 or some dumb shit like that, it's mildly entertaining for all of three or four minutes. But I've yet to see how it can actually deliver usable and innovative results on anything. The superior code it supposedly can write is pure spaghetti nonsense. The business analysis it supposedly can produce on a dime is hallucinatory, irrelevant and useless. Often it just spits out random bits of junk that's largely irrelevant but that it treats as facts.

Nope, especially looking at the valuation of companies like Nvidia and the like, I think we got ourselves an ol' fashioned year 2000 like dotcom bust on the horizon at some point.

  • It's really just the hype I hate.

The tech is pretty mid for most uses, but it has some neat functions. Something like what this commenter described is actually a pretty cool use of it.

What I'm horrendously tired of, is sitting at work all day listening to a bunch of execs, who have literally no clue how their company actually gets to the endpoint, or how our product is created, delivered, measured, billed, collected, etc., how they all just sound like robots. "AI AI AI, you should get AI to do that, AI will do that, AI AI AI, you should look at AI, AI is wonderful, AI AI AI." It's literally vomit inducing. I'm starting to believe people should fully step back, disengage, and watch all these idiots try to implement AI, with all these brain dead consultants. You could literally watch the world melt down around you in real time.

  • The amount of foreign interference in all this, should be enough to give anyone sober second thought here. But everyone in this province outside the cities seems to have mashed potatoes for brains, so here we are. Shouts out to the boomer crowd, who of course will dance off with their riches and their seniors discount, yet again, leaving the rest of us holding the bag for their infuriatingly stupid decisions. Should this go through, which thankfully it doesn't look like they are even close to having realistic volumes of support.

"Mah brains got da ivermectin from dah COVID. Mah buddy Donald said he'll grab me by the pussy" - Danielle Smith, probably.

  • That's sweet! Hopefully they expand out west. That's the problem with our country, don't think I can't appreciate that it's a capital sucking nightmare to invest in infrastructure creation here. I get it. But there's gotta be some middle ground, somewhere.

  • My experiences with HW3 and HW4 have been horrifying. I always turn off the FSD trials whenever they push, and the bastards still find a way to enact and screw up my cruise. The car itself is fine, but this FSD shit is a legit scam.

  • I'm guilty of a High Noon here and there.

I'll just crush sours instead. And let's keep this shit realistic, I'll struggle to finish a 12 pack between here and Christmas. >50% of this households alcohol purchases end up pouring down the drain half a decade+ later

  • Motorcycles @lemmy.world

Great day in the mountains getting at it. Anyone else have a great ride this weekend?
