  • People seem to think he's a Trudeau puppet because he agreed to work with the liberals on some issues in exchange for pushing through the dental care thing.

God forbid that our government parties work together on some issues rather than fighting each other like how it is down south.

  • People need a reminder that you can have fun resolutions too.

For example, this year when I pass by an ingredient I've never tried before, I'm going to buy it, look up a recipe that uses it and try it. With the goal being that I can expand the staple foodstuffs I keep falling back on week after week.

  • Wired communications would take over immediately and it would be a massive pain in the ass, but we'd ultimately adapt.

If the EM jamming is enough to also degrade the signal in copper lines, which at 1000x the strongest signal, might happen, then basically all modern society would collapse within 48 hours

  • Its a double-edged sword. There is a ton of use in something like "help me display the data in this excel workbook for a presentation" but the tradeoff is that data is now indexed in the recall database along with everything else you do.

Ultimately, using recall is a security concern that massively outweighs any benefits it offers, but to say it offers no benefit at all is incorrect.

  • I disagree about TotK being a bad sequel, but I 100% agree that it should have been a new franchise. TotK returned to the same map, but with a twist and a whole new set of tools to explore with, plus 2 new massive areas.

You're spot on with Echoes of Wisdom though. It's hard to avoid using beds and water blocks as the solution to every movement puzzle and it's hard to avoid just using whatever Lv3 mob you have as a solution to all the combat.

  • I specifically asked for socks and also got new socks. I am beyond thrilled.

Ive come to realize that the best gifts you can get as an adult are the ones that remove some responsibility from you. Someone got us socks so now we don't have to drive to the store and buy them ourselves.

  • Try the 70s.

That was when VHS and cassette tapes started to hit the market and there was no copy protection on those. Following that, people copied floppy disks enough that they had to make that "dont copy that floppy" jingle.

There was a brief period with the switch to digital and CDROMs where piracy stopped, but then CD burners hit the market and it started again.

  • This is generally bad advice without some caveats.

It should be more like "learn when you should ask for help with something". Which is to say, when you get into a jam, don't immediately find someone to try and get you out of it. Do your own research into the problem first, then ask for help if you hit a block. Also, when someone helps you, try to understand everything they did so that you wont need to ask for help the next time it happens.
