What was the most unforgettable interaction you've ever had with a stranger?
  • My interaction was WAAAY different but the same vein.

I was driving around, biting the backside of my fingernail. I turned a corner, and this gorgeous girl driving, waved, and smiled at me for no reason.

I was like, hot damn I still got it. Then, I realized biting the back of my nail, palm facing out, probably looked like I was waving at her.

To this day I don't know why it stuck with me.

  • Houses in my area increases 82% in just 4 years
  • My janky duct tape together house I bought in 2010, that was built in '58 was 98k. In 12 years I sold it at 280k, with it still technically being out of code. My house was the cheapest sold in the neighborhood, some selling for 320k. It's insane.

  • A Texas Woman Died After Waiting 40 Hours for Miscarriage Care
  • It's been the fucking wild west here in Texas due to new laws being pushed out then shot down so quickly, no one can keep track. Even the ones passed are written so badly, they can't be interpreted correctly. The following is from an article from ProPublica

Although US abortion bans – which more than a dozen states have enacted in the two years since the supreme court overturned Roe v Wade – technically permit the procedure in medical emergencies, doctors across the country have said that the laws are worded so vaguely that they don’t know when they can legally intervene.

This has been repeated ad nauseum by doctors on local outlets. It's meant to be vague and confusing.

  • Is it cheaper to use a plug-in oil radiator to heat an individual room, or run the central heater to heat an individual room and living room?
  • Just an FYI, closing up vents in an hvac can actually cause problems. It puts more strain on the fan unit, which can cause it to burn up quicker. The unit is designed to move a certain amount of air, if you restrict that air, pressure builds up in the system.

A couple closed over an entire system is fine, but closing all but one room would definitely cause problems.

  • How to track what telemetry an Android app sends home

Pretty much the title. I'm trying to find some ammunition to fight my HOA on wasting our money. They make us use an app to gain access to amenities, and I want to see what telemetry the app sends back or what it may track.

I tried TrackerControl, but the app (alarm.com) doesn't pop up in its feed.
