Feels like controlled opposition. I know we need to engage with the democratic party because they're the best we got but JFC can they stop sucking corporate dick for 5 seconds.
If it was taken seriously, Trump would promise the million after annexing them. Then would never pay and say he did. (Also absolutely insane that this is even a conversation)
I met him at a convention. He was surprisingly short (edit: google says he's 5'8. I find it hard to believe, I remember being surprised at his height. I felt he was at least 8 inches shorter than me at 6ft). Me and my buds asked him why he didn't continue with power rangers and he said he wasn't a fan of the violence and wanted to do less violent things. This was before I had found out about the homophobia. I wonder if he was being genuine about his stated reason.
I don't want to be an election denyer but I find it outlandish that:
1: he won every single swing state
2: people voted dem down ballot but not for Harris
3: the voting machines were connected to starlink
4: many reports from people saying their votes were not counted
I don't think he won fairly. I believe majority of Americans do not support him but there's been big money backing him for years. Unfortunately we didn't have any rules in place for such a scenario. (Other than 2A but good luck against tanks and fighter jets)
Repubos won't ever think critically about it. Trump said things have to get worse before they get better. So like Christians thousands of years ago (and today) they will go through the hardship thinking that there's a better life awaiting them. But it won't ever come.
Best case: Trump gets impeached, Vance takes over and they walk back some of this bullshit.
Worst case: Trump brings the army to start un-terrorist-ing protestors, declares martial law and enacts even worse policies.
The thing is, hate has varying degrees. There is: slight disregard up to boiling rage. But the root is the same. They hate those that are different and the higher ups need a Boogeyman to point their capitalistism caused depression to.
I don't think he's wrong. By shopping there once they make the desired changes, you signal to the company what you want to see from them. Other companies notice too. You reward them with your business. But by boycotting then all together, then they have no reason to make progressive policies. I think it's better trying to steer the shitty company than letting them get worse.
In America, right wingers support the republicans who have a verified track record of taking rights away, cheating elections and straight up lying. By refusing the see any other point of view, they reject open mindedness. They are unyielding in their beliefs and that is dangerous. It's whats led to the current affairs of the USA. Theyve been swindled for years. The thing I hate most of all is there core principle is hate. They hate minorities, immigrants, foreigners and gays. They always have some justification for it. "Gays are cross dressing and confusing my children. Gays are indecent. Minorities are abusing social programs. Jewish people are running criminal cabals. (Etc. etc.)
You'll have the "oh well I don't support THAT part of my political party but shrug nothing we can do 🙂" publicans but don't do anything or even CRITICIZE it. And those that try to refute these points either outright deny that its true or use whataboutism.
I will end this by saying I have right winger friends who are radicalizing away from me and I'm trying my hardest to show them that core beliefs of comraderie and compassion is far superior to the kool aid they're being forced fed by all major social media companies.
He really was. Banger line after banger line.
Edit: "The food is a cholesterol threat disguised as southern hospitality" was fantastic
