I definitely understand this take but there are a lot of things that I would have never watched if I hadn't torrented it. Many things I do want to see more of I pay for of course but a lot of it I would just never have viewed or listened to in the first place.
Maybe everything that dies someday comes back Even though Springsteen wrote it The Band did such an amazing cover of that song.
Yes it is one of the many arbitrary things that that specific religion demonizes. Probably has its roots from way back in the day so that women couldnt effectively run away from the men and get very far. Same reason most Muslim women arent allowed to drive. To this day they still have to have permission to leave and go do things without a man. Edit: lol at the downvotes. Give it a google if you don't believe me 🤷♂️
It will not be any better by then. In fact it will probably worse when they do have a solid understanding of the internet and the infastructure behind it they will be able to use it to our disadvantage even more than they already are.
I believe this is the plan for most of them. I know Signal messenger has said as much and Im sure Telegram and even Whatsapp (lol at the idea of whatsapp being secure) wont stick around either. Seems like the easiest way to solve this problem. The downside is, once this passes the USA and other countries are bound to follow suit. Especially Australia's spying ass, if they havent passed something like this already.
And that's why you will NEVER see it in states like Texas and Mississippi. Rehabilitation and low recidivism rate are only goals for the state of California, not the rest of the USA.
So it says it will require all "communication service providers" to spy on people and require them to divulge the information they collect to various government agencies. My question is, does this mean the phone manufacturers as well as the phone companies? Like is Samsung and IPhone considered "communication service providers"? Also what about end to end encrypted software like Signal? Will they too be required to spy on their users?
