Holy shit man, so much. So so so much. Honestly I'm surprised I survived childhood.
We used to free climb cliffs. One of my step brothers took a pretty bad fall, about 60 feet down. He cartwheeled and banged against the cliff face, then landed in a sitting position. His right arm was torn open from armpit to elbow, and the bones were sticking out. Compound break. We had to walk him though about 2 miles of desert to get back to civilization and get help. He survived with no other major injuries, but that was a close one.
I used to go camping out in the desert by myself as a kid. From like 10 to 14 years old. I'd take a bow and arrows with me and just stay out there for a few days with my parents thinking I was spending a few days at a friends house. So much shit could've gone wrong, and sometimes it almost did.
Then there's the normal kid shit like playing with fire and chemicals, almost blowing ourselves up or burning everything else down.
People wonder why I never had kids and all I can do is think about all the shit I got up to as a kid. I don't need that kind of stress.
I think it makes a difference if it's done in a designated area where you have permission, like a University or church. There's an old man in Tampa who has been arrested a bunch of times because he hands out sandwiches, but he just goes around the street doing it.
Just look at a national map of the counties that voted Republican last November and you will see nothing but red.
Rightoid needs colored pictures to understand numbers and still fails. Amazing.
64.1% of eligible voters turned out to vote. Trump got 49.3% of those voters to vote for him. That amounts to about a third of all eligible voters voting for Trump. ONE THIRD is not "the whole country".
It's no wonder you guys want the DOE gone. You need the whole country to be uneducated so your own stupidity looks normal by comparison.
Dementia is a punishment worse than death. Just a shame he didn't get it sooner. Lock him away for the rest of his life and forget he ever existed. Don't even waste treatment on him. Just let the disease run its course.
The entire nation voted Republican in November. Not just the southern states. It was a Red Flood.
It was 49.8% to 48.3%, with over a third of eligible voters sitting it out. It was a Red Dribble, at best.
That’s the reason why the democrat party has a national approval rating below 25%.
The Dems have an abysmal approval rating because they tried to court the right-wing, which cost them most of their left-leaning base. I know you think you had a gotcha moment here, but you aren't talking to a Democrat.
Seriously though, I am just tickled how perfectly you described Trump.
Yankees are shallow, arrogant, condescending, cowards who are generally moral-less liars and seek money over anything else in their empty lives.
Spot on. I'm stealing this.
It's not something I can always tell "instantly", but lack of curiosity. I can overlook a lot of flaws, being a very flawed person myself, but someone who isn't curious about the world around them is an absolute waste of time, and no amount of physical beauty can make up for it.

You just described the guy that the South overwhelmingly voted for. Twice. What does it say about Southern men that this is what they elected to represent them at the highest level of government?
Cuck. That's what it says.
If you want to know how it came to be that Palestinians elected and supported Hamas, just watch in real time as Mexican cartels step up to help Mexico resist American imperialism. I guarantee it will play out in an eerily familiar way if Trump keeps playing these games.
I don't even get the "obj" box on pc. But yeah, got it sorted. I appreciate everyone being so helpful.
In middle school, one of my teachers rolled in the TV/VCR cart, popped in a tape, and left the room. It was homemade porn. He was fired, then later arrested on charges of statutory rape of a student. On my first day at that school (the first day it was even open), a kid got stabbed and another went to the hospital for alcohol poisoning and drug overdose. Also, one of the nighttime janitors stole a bunch of computers (Apple II-e's and c's) to try to sell them and got arrested. Another kid with long hair got his hair caught in a drill press in shop class, and it was pretty gory. It was unofficially known as "the last Indian scalped in Arizona". That place was wild. It was shut down years ago due to lack of funding I think. It was on the rez, if that helps explain things.
In high school (not on the rez), we had standard stuff. At least one teacher that I know of was having sex with students, but I don't think she ever got busted. Had a riot over the Rodney King stuff. School shootings weren't in vogue yet, thankfully. We had one kid who all the teachers liked, straight A student, etc. He carjacked some lady at gunpoint one weekend, and the wheel came off while he was speeding away. The car flipped and he died. Oh, and my art teacher tried out for American Gladiators, but dislocated his shoulder during tryouts. Not really a scandal, but we all thought it was funny.
Yeah. What's wild is I didn't even post the gif on Reddit. I just up voted it and got banned for promoting violence.
Huffman is such a fucking coward.
Ah, so image hosts don't work then? I'll try another.
AHA! With imgur, you gotta right click on the image and copy link, rather than just copying the link in the address bar!
Anyway, this is the image that got me perma-banned from Reddit.
Let's try.
EDIT - Damn. Still nothing.
Cartoon Luigi gif.
There's a park in my town where homeless people tend to gather because it's one of the few places with benches and shade. My friends and I threw a cookout at the park and went around inviting everyone in and near the park to join us. We don't have a huge homeless population here, but there were a dozen or so homeless folks that joined. Cops showed up and harassed us for a little while, but luckily a sergeant showed up and let them know that no laws were being broken. It also helps that I used to work for the Medical Examiner's Office, so a lot of the cops know me from being on scenes together. It's not exactly a "get out of jail free" card, but they do treat me with a little more respect than the average person gets.
I don't know about the laws in other places, but here in Florida when you hand out food, the cops use the excuse of "food safety" to shut you down or even fine and arrest you. It's all bullshit of course, but that's their legal backing. But when you're throwing a cookout, it's food that you are eating, and just happen to be sharing with guests. There's not a damn thing they can do about it.
People should have more cookouts in public parks, invite everyone, and make sure that includes people who are struggling. Then it's just a party, and like you say, the guests situation otherwise is irrelevant.
Trump knew he wasn't going to revitalize anything. The whole thing was a money laundering scam for him.
As soon as I read your comment I saw it as "jaw breakers". So yeah, I guess that's a good thing.
Yeah I use lemmy from the lemm.ee instance on PC and almost never on mobile, so I have no idea what the issue is. Oh well.
Dang. I mostly use lemmy on PC and when I use the image upload button nothing happens. Oh well, not a biggie.
