I only had an account explicitly to follow a small set of NSFW creators who only posted to Twitter and nowhere else, so yeah, pretty easy to let go of that.
I got perma-banned for saying that the US Military won't give a shit about what is happening because they only care if it involves bombing muslims. The "reason" they gave was that I was promoting hate-speech somehow.
When Twitter-man did the salute, I deleted my old account (hadn't used it in years anyway) When Facebook-man said "no more fact checking," I deleted my old facebook (only kept it to keep in contact with, like, 2 people) When Tumblr-man banned the porn, I deleted my tumblr (you can guess why I had it) When Reddit-man said he wants to paywall the biggest subs, I deleted my reddit (also got banned but I prefer to say I did it for a better reason)
The enemy is fascism, and fascists are only dealt with one way. Protesting does nothing against Nazis, especially peaceful protests, it just gives them easy targets. We tried protest, negotiation, appeasement, and more when it came to Hitler and his Nazis, and only One Thing worked to get rid of them. Prepare, organize, and fight back against the fascists.
I purchased a gun before Trump took office and have been practicing at the range, as well as encouraging everyone I know to do the same. Arm yourself and prepare, this only ends one way.

There was a customer at my old sub shop that some staff dubbed "Hot Wheels" and not endearingly. Everyone hated her, she was rude and mean, and yes she came in with a motorized wheel chair. I phrase it that way because, if you ever delivered to her, she'd answer the door standing up, no chair in sight. She didn't need it, she was just really fat and somehow got an actual wheelchair instead of one of those scooters.
She also once answered her door naked, expecting the delivery guy to be a man. It wasn't, and she wasn't pleased. Didn't even pay, let alone tip. (She never tipped.)
Just remember that there is literally no reason to attempt to engage with Them on any kind of intellectual level. Only give them mockery and shame, or ignore them.

Americans are unwilling to pay any cost that actually requires them to do something, on average at least. Some of us though are willing to start preparing ourselves for what must be done.
I also have a proven method of change, the same we used against the Nazis, the same we will use again and again until there are No More Nazis.

When fascists attempt to kill democracy, those who support democracy need to act in kind toward the fascists.
Every protestor should come armed in some way to ensure the protest doesn't get attacked by cops. Everyone knows cops are cowards, so if they think there is even a chance of a gun being present, they won't get near it, just like school shootings.
This only ends one way, with nooses and guillotines. It is up to the people how quickly it ends.
