Currently taking Japanese classes for fun. I'm about two years in and can have very basic conversations.

Took three years of German 20+ years ago and have German friends (and read German lemmy) so can practice sometimes.

I'm terrible at all of them and not that great at English either. I tend to "vomit language" moreso than speak well.

Yeah I hope so. I seen to remember the show's bible having a rule that they would never get romantically involved. I liked the previous seasons kind of implying poppy was asexual/aromantic, but her actress getting pregnant probably had something to do with the change.

Either way, I agree. The show had some potential and I liked a lot of the characters, but the story kind of petered out.

Poppy and Ian in the final episode of Mythic Quest. So bad they edited out when they got cancelled.

Sounds like you probably aren't getting enough sleep to get into REM very often. 4-5 an hour isn't the healthiest.

I don't dream much either, according to sleep studies. Do you have a sleep disorder and/or smoke weed?

I agree. We should treat others differently. Case in point: several people trying to pick a flight with me about this.

Of course I'm not saying "we shouldn't try to cure this disease." Maybe I'm saying, "these people are 'Innocents ' who don't have to have the same interactions with society as we do, and in some ways that's better because society is fucked."

They become worse for having to interact with society the same way as everyone else. Most people are assholes. The specific population of people I know are awesome and I consider them better humans than most because society is fucked.

I would agree with you on that as well. I do some volunteering with the special Olympics, have family members, etc. it's like you said and in these cases they are able to interact with the general public, maybe have basic jobs, live in group homes, and so forth.

I also agree they are fucked without support. I am not advocating for more people to have the disease so much as I wish more people had the vibes of the population I'm referencing.

That's a dilemma. The kids and parents not having the challenges is great, but also people with Downs are often some of the best humans to exist.

If they don't comply, the Dems are going to SLAM and BLAST them with slightly strong language, but no swearing allowed and no actions.

My first experience was with an AOL free disk where you could only go to certain things. I was in 5th grade, around 1995 or so.

It was dark times all the way to college when I finally moved somewhere with broadband and Google started to exist.
