  • Yeah this was kind of an expected punishment, hard to argue with any of it.

  • I feel like his pole lap in Suzuka earlier this year was even crazier but yeah sometimes he just decides to put his foot down and remind the world that there are levels to this.

  • Aston are super inconsistent with strategy, imo. They do some weird stuff sometimes but they also pull off some great calls on occasion.

  • I feel bad for Colapinto but he's not fast enough or has a junior career good enough to afford all these mistakes and crashes.

  • Neoliberals tend to at least outwardly claim they feel iffy about the idea of privatised police departments.

  • Will be interesting to watch qualy. Red Bull have undergone a lot of brain drain but it seems they're still setup wizards. Always mind boggling how much they're able to find when comparing FP1 with qualy.

  • I would absolutely hate being a kid growing up in today's world. I feel like I was part of the last generation that had a relatively normal childhood and only started to truly hear about the doomsday reality towards sort of my mid-to-late teens.

  • Yes, hydroelectric is the primary source. Nuclear is still number 2, however.

  • I can definitely see that! I hadn't thought of it because I haven't travelled in forever but that makes a lot of sense.

  • The only one that couldn't be substituted with piracy is using F1TV with the Multiviewer app, so it would be that.

  • I went back and watched it, that's a crazy restoration!

  • No, I'm an introvert. But I totally get your perspective.

  • Twilight before the sunrise, walking through a dead silent village/small town as it's just about to wake up and the only other noise is the distant clang and bangs or the garbage disposal truck is a magical mood.

  • Sunrise. Visually there isn't too much between them, but the optimism of looking at a sunrise with the whole day in front of you edges out the melancholy of the day being over.

  • I always only browse Lemmy on my phone so after Facebook refused to let me see it without logging on on mobile I left it alone. I could probably download it but in today's attention economy that's a tall order.

  • If you didn't have it on your first run, going HARD in on Shivers will give you a lot more flavour and insights and world building. It's many people's favourite skill for a reason. It can be done even with low-middling FYS, just make sure to go for either Apocalypse Cop or Hobocop, plus try to grab the Bow Collector.

If you tried being "reasonable" your first run you will most likely be surprised by how many rewarding dialogue lines open up by committing to being completely unhinged and deranged. Electrochemistry is of course very entertaining, but as you seem to have already sussed out Half-Light is the sleeper hit of the FYS skills. He's absolutely hilarious.

If you're okay with it, the FYS skills will pull you into the Fascist vision quest, and without spoiling it I will say that it is actually different than you think at first and in the end a super interesting (if depressing) vision quest.

One of my favourite playthroughs I've watched went hard on FYS and basically had the mindset of "I'm never saying no to these guys's suggestions". It was extremely interesting.

Otherwise, just try to do stuff you didn't in your first playthrough. Try to remember whenever you went "no, better not, this is probably a bad idea" and this time don't chicken out.
