  • That's for pansies.

You can buy warfarin off the shelf in the form out pest poison.

If you wanna set a world record for death by blood loss, that's the way to do it.

    Remember kids:

All things are poison, and nothing is without poison; the dosage alone makes it so a thing is not a poison.

    —Paracelsus, 1538

Often condensed to "The dose makes the poison."

Also, death by warfarin overdose is a slow, bloody, painful way to go. Don't self medicate with fucking rat poison or anything stupid.

  • I had some severe sleep issues and ended up abusing DPH, not for any recreational effects I just needed to sleep. 9 days without sleep is bad. Torture.

I took 30 of those pink devils, just to sleep. I was that desparate.

Still didn't sleep, but I went out back for a smoke and there was a spider towering over the houses in the neighborhood. Didn't think anything of it while on the meds, just went out front to smoke lol. Also I had some common visitors in the corners of my bed room, cloaked in shadows whispery chanting in a language I couldn't understand, while the darkness and certain patterns began to warp around me. But at the time it wasn't concerning. DPH is a deleriant, line jimson weed and some other plants - they differ from hallucinogens in some interesting ways. Erowid has always been a good source on various substances for those inclined to research.

For those who may be concerned, I no longer take DPH much at all, last time was due to a new minor allergic reaction to something I haven't been able to identify. Something was in that hookah tobacco my body didn't like. Also, I'm sleeping better these days - in part due to having the right medical access, as well as rigorous sleep hygiene.

  • Don't forget potentially useless proficiency skills.

A rogue with wis as a dump stat provably shouldn't be making too many medicine checks lol.

Ive only messed with that origin once.

I'm still exploring builds, not so much because I'm unaware of the RAW stuff, but to see how its implemented in BG3. I haven't left act one yet, lol.

  • I've done the graveyard shift for a couple jobs now.

    Usually for medical IT.

Its usually quiet, I don't see my boss very often, and for the most part just run the entirety of IT stuff by myself.

I know how much I value my sleep, so I try not to escalate issues in the middle of the night.

In a lot of ways its made me a more creative problem solver and just a better more rounded tech.

Some things I just don't have permissions for, and have to escalate. Sucks, but I get it.

It helps that my wife works similar hours to me.

We can both go to bed in the afternoon, though I'm jealous of her getting to sleep later than me in the moments I'm first awake, but I leave work first so its a fair trade I guess.

  • I use a double edge razor, and the blades I use are on the "nicer" end, cost wise, and it comes down to about 11 cents a blade.

Now, I mostly just use clippers to take my beard down to a level my wife prefers, but when I had a job I had to shave daily for, I'd change it once a week because the blades are cheap.

That being said, I still use the DE to touch up certain other spots and its been months and months... I should change it out now that I'm thinking about it, lol.

  • Yes, its 110+ F here during the day... the attic... well a few years ago we had a guy out to service...

He FELL down the attic ladder due to heat stroke. Its one of those almost straight ladders that fold into the ceiling.

He was thankfully ok, and after some AC and water, was right as rain... I should say, he was a young guy in good health, and not only that a friend of a family member. We wanted to take care of him, first and foremost. If we thought medical attention was needed (and my own ass has had heat stroke, I know it) we would have called emergency services. We didn't want to stick him with an ambulance bill (no insurance, private contractor) if he didn't need it.

But fuck, 1k roaches? You know what, I'll board the animals, use it as an excuse to get a nice hotel room with the wife, see if we can both take PTO for the week off and take an unprompted vacay, while the exterminator does their business.

That being said, 10 years ago, when I was much much poorer, with much more tenuous job stability... I'd take a knife up for the human in the attic, take the body to a family friend with a pig farm. Pigs make the best witnesses. They eat all the evidence, and can't speak.

  • I'd rather re-fart my own fart, than have my dick dip into a public toilet again.

One is slightly, uncomfortable, maybe? The other opens the mind to all the diseases that could potentially infect your dick in a public toilet. Unlikely? Sure. Possible? In some cases, with some diseases, yes - however slim.

  • I'd just like to add that installing mods via vortex (Nexus mod manager, usually very solid) gave me a lot of issues and I had to use a mod manager built for BG3 to mod easily.

I'm sure I just wasn't paying attention and just decided to look for an easier method.

If anyone is interested, just reply here and I'll find the info on the mod manager when I get home.

Tl;Dr - Check individual mod install notes, BG3 doesn't mod quite as easily as say Skyrim.

  • I keep seeing Pop recommended so hijacking for an issue I ran into switching away from it - I had to completely wipe the drive prior to formatting the drive for whatever Debian based distro I was checking out.

Long story short, it was due to the bootloader for Pop remaining and interfering with the install process. So a full wipe wouldn't be necessary most likely, just clearing your boot partition should be enough.

  • I have a relative who was recently given a DUI.

They went to the store, sober, and bought a handle of vodka (1.75 liters) consumed the vast majority, and drove around.

He wanted to die in a head on collision. Selfish fuck.

I don't have a problem with people having the freedom to decide enough is enough, but don't harm others in the process, at least more so than the death would cause. Especially innocent unrelated people.

  • Bethesda games serve as a framework in my mind.

Its like a tech demo saying look at what we did with this engine and tools... The modders turn a game I play once or twice into...

Wait, lemme math out the combined hours between versions... Over 3k hours. And that's rookie hours, and some if my time was just pausing the game, going to bed then work, and resuming with steam counting the hours the game was idle but launched.

Bethesda games are a great foundation to build upon, but modders keep me coming back to it. And buying different versions of the same game.

Doom, and Eternal are different types of games, developed differently, for different purposes. Never found too many issues in either of those games. Most issues were skill issues, lol.

  • I can't speak to the neurological state of my last group, but we had a lot of people new to TTRPGs, so we had similar issues.

We house ruled that making a gesture over your head meant it was OOC.

This was to help separate thinking outloud as a player, from something involving the character. It had become an issue for one of our players with a low int score, lol.

  • I would just add not to be worried about dumb choices only earning ire.

Some, most, of my memories from past campaigns are borne from ideas all the players know were dumb as hell, but the gnome fighter with 3 int (2e) decided to just leroy jenkins a horde of goblins. We were captured which lead to other mishaps.

If the group doesn't have at least one break so everyone can get the laughs out and settle so they speak without giggling, I consider it a bit of a failure, personally. Even in a "serious" session.

  • Built my first PC at 8 years old, no degree, and my family is comfortable - which is really as far as my aspirations went career wise.

I think, because I feel it myself while studying for a specialization (getting bored in my current role), its that people grow apathetic to learning after a point, coupled with the pace of life... Who has the time, energy, and focus to keep up with every new facet of tech?

Its my passion, and still I have trouble.

  • Getting the death sentence would be difficult on a former president.

Add in his cultists, who seem to have a boner for vigilante "justice," and I could absolutely see, from my vantage point in the south, red necks turning to violence over the death of their cult leader.

Personally I'd rather see them rot in a cell, deprived of all they relish. No more big macs for Trump. No binging fox. No more yes men kissing his diaper laden ass.

  • It also seems to have some context with whether or not it is in an edible state. You bake dough > Turns to bread (food product on its own) > you roast (toast) bread - all based on your understanding.

I would love to be a polyglot, sadly, the only thing besides english I "speak" are scripting languages - and that was hard fought knowledge.
