Frank rants about Cyberpunk (the ethos, not the game)

American leftists do you vote? Why or why not? And if yes, for who and why?
  • The President chooses people to lead each department of the federal govt

Republican administrations cut funding from California and sue the state to block and delay and projects that California triedsto implement. Nothing good is going to happen at the federal level but at least Democratic admin will approve grants to California

One example being California high speed rail. It had federal funding, then funding was pulled, then it came back, and we'll see what happens next. This of course delays the project

California is now manufacturing generic insulin that will be sold at cost. A Republican federal govt would try to block this

  • American leftists do you vote? Why or why not? And if yes, for who and why?
  • Yeah since I want my state to receive federal funding . Also my state has a lot of ballot measures

  • Game devs say Unity's new install fee is a threat to everyone, including gamers, and there's no going back: "I don't want to sell my house because my game was too popular"
  • It's hilarious how immediate and intense the backlash is. The corporate version of when Tom the cat steps on a rake and smashes his face in

  • Ukrainian Nationalism vs Indian Nationalism
  • Lmao

Why RMTransit Has Hope for American Transit

just thought it was funny this video came out right after the NotJustBikes doomerism post

I tend to agree RMTransit here, even in cursed Los Angeles there are miles of rail opening each year. Maybe one day it'll creep into my neighborhood

Teslas are a nightmare: dispatches from hazmat
  • I would love to see that come to scooters, I think it could work well in dense Indian cities where it's going to be hard to build charging stations for everyone

But charging speeds are pretty fast these days so it's not bad.

  • Teslas are a nightmare: dispatches from hazmat
  • Chinese companies are leading in EV development and some of them will start using sodium ion batteries which will be less volatile. Would love to see that tech widespread
