Ancient Iran had air conditioning
  • Not quite an air conditioner, but it seems modernizing it could be a great idea for new constructions to save on power. Maybe as a supplement to Air Conditioners.

It's called "radiant floor cooling/heating" and this has existed for a while.

  • Ancient Iran had air conditioning
  • Iran's traditional desert architecture masterfully navigates extreme temperatures through a combination of smart design and local building materials like mud-brick or adobe, which possess low thermal conductivity similar to sand. The thick walls of these houses act as a thermal mass, absorbing the intense daytime heat and slowly releasing it during the cooler night, regulating temperature swings inside the dwelling. This principle, paired with the utilization of design features like wind towers and qanat systems, helps to maintain a comfortable indoor climate. Some structures are even partially or completely built underground, using the earth as a natural insulator and benefiting from the surrounding cool sand. Consequently, it's this strategic interplay of materials, design, and the desert environment that enables these homes to remain cool during scorching days and warm during chilly desert nights. This is a gross oversimplification of thermal dynamics but it's the gist of it. It would be quite comfortable inside is what I am getting at.

  • 'Nontheistic' nonprofit calls for Bible ban in Leon schools, citing Moms for Liberty efforts
  • Precocious exposure to biblical teachings, particularly when imparted by individuals with inadequate theological proficiency, may be unsuitable for children. The Bible's complex contextual nuances necessitate a cognitive maturity typically exceeding a child's developmental capacity. Such premature exposure may foster distorted understandings or render the child susceptible to manipulative interpretations advanced by ill-intentioned individuals.

On a side note, I am a Christian and I think VeggieTales is the most Satanic bullshit I've ever seen.

  • Aussie Bus Driver Fed Up with 'Misbehavior' Dumps 18 Kids on Side of the Road
  • Why become or stay as a school bus driver if you can't handle children? I don't give a shit about the argument about the economy or whatever excuse someone will make for them. Throwing children at the side of the road and placing them in danger is far worse; I hope this bus driver gets jail time and barred from being near children.

  • I fell in love with someone with Borderline Personality Disorder. Ultimately it led to our breakup. I wrote a poem as my goodbye to her.
  • For someone with Borderline Personality Disorder, this really made me cry. I wish I could undo my transference onto people. That is why I choose to stay alone nowadays. This was motivating to reflect upon and remember to keep up with my mental health goals.

  • Congrats on seeing a doctor, just remember not to get disappointed if your first doctor doesn't meet your needs. It took me a while to find a good physician to help me. But it's amazing you are taking the effort to help yourself!
