well, based on the comment history of some, and they usually saying stuff like 'our country' when there is also US already involved in post or conversation, and because that happens of course usually on communism related posts, wich I see too how in general anarchists users get downvoted
Yes, this is a new account I made as I like to divide topics when subbing, but I have another other one for pretty much commenting. Also I must add this is not something unique to Lemmy, anyway. The point is, why would they act like that so often (based on my experience)? (genuine question, im not trying to troll or something, just in case)
if it were a truly perfect reign, I imagine it would be more about balance and harmony, not control in the traditional sense. After all, if such an entity exists, it would ideally know whatโs best for everyone. But yeah, I understand how the idea of total authority, even in a utopian context, can raise concerns. Itโs a pretty complex topic.
Well that description suits better anarchism. Also Heaven doesn't exist it was invented by catholic church like many other stuff they made out of nowhere. Christian God wants to make a non-human monarchy (so God and Jesus as king) and remove all human based States. So pretty much not a communist. Of course you can argue is not anarchism either and is just common monarchy, since there is still some form of authoritarianism, even if not human-based, but from my personal perspective if it truly were a perfect reign I wouldn't mind at all
I don't know where you live, but AMD is much cheaper than Nvidia, and everybody knows that. So maybe you're the fanboy here. AMD is simply better on GNU/Linux because of open-source drivers. You'll avoid many issues that, while easy to fix, someone getting a computer for GNU/Linux can easily avoid just by buying AMD graphics. I use two RTX 3090s on my main machine, btw
have you even read my comment? dont listen to this guy OP. Get yourself an AMD graphics
keepassxc for GUI for CLI/TUI I like gopass but you have many many options, just search
Not the longest ones but the first that came to mind:
In French, one of the longest words is "anticonstitutionnellement", which means unconstitutionally. It's long but not something you'd use in daily conversation.
For Japanese, it's trickier because the language doesnโt really form long standalone words like German does. But if we count kanji compounds, something like "่ถ ้ป็ฃ็ ฒ" (ใกใใใงใใใปใ, chลdenjihล), meaning railgun, is a cool one. Of course, technical or bureaucratic terms can get way longer, but theyโre more like phrases than words.
I personally do this, especially now that I live in a rural area and enjoy taking night walks. If I encounter someone, but particularly a woman, I make some noise and slowly move away so theyโre not caught off guard if they see me around doing my own stuff. In the city, I also move to the other side of the road and walk faster to give people space. Part of this behavior is influenced by my OCD and ADHD.
LOL this was funny, definitely my partner would have send me this meme too
also, fuck (not in the good sense of the word) Karens

You have plenty GNU/Linux compatible OOTB laptop manufacturers like:
Also check this for buying preinstalled libreboot laptops (some of the upper ones already do) minifree.org and here how to do yourself if you feel confident libreboot.org
Also you can consider buying a Dell laptop or Lenovo Thinkpad
I strongly recommend buying a laptop with AMD graphics, either integrated or external, for getting the best compatible machine for GNU/Linux, and avoid Nvidia, and Intel too if possible
Yay! I realized yesterday too. They are real heroe. Also, if the project dies at somepoint (likely due to YT hunting them and making their site even worse, I guess it's time to stop relying in their crap and use real alternatives like Odysee and Peertube
I was about to say Mars, but Elon Rat plans to go there
