I don't know, Wikipedia has been updated with this but not much details so far. It seems from this couple minutes that there's definitely some kind of AD inspiration, maybe even some folks from the AD team made it on to this dev team.

That's very cool, but I think they should have waited a bit, maybe even move it to the Switch 2. Three Mario RPGs in a year is a lot, maybe space them out a bit more to prevent fatigue, you know?
