Esteban Ocon confirms he will race for Alpine in Canada
Esteban Ocon has confirmed he will be racing for Alpine at the Canadian Grand Prix, saying he has been “deeply saddened by the amount of abuse and negativity” received following his coming together with team mate Pierre Gasly in Monaco.
I believe a decision was reached behind the doors, and Ocon won’t drive for Alpine next year. We might see a driver swap if Ocon continues his rampage, but for now, they are sticking with him since the team needs stability and he isn’t a bad driver after all.
I wounder if there is a penalty they would have to pay to terminate him early?

I like to imagine the only reason he wasn't dropped right away is because there's nobody else willing to drive that shitbox of a car. He's probably out the next year.
