An indictment of a US official, even if never taken to trial, would be a good first step. It's not so abstract when you're charged with war crimes, is it? Of course Biden will never see the inside of an international court... but some smol beans politician like John Fetterman or Matt Gaetz? I think it would affect them more, they would be afraid to leave the US for the rest of their lives.
One of the popes exhumed the corpse of his predecessor and tried the corpse for heresy. So I say we start digging up the dead presidents and hang them too.
The US wants to cry about Putin committing war crimes. Maybe they should be a shining beacon of democracy and hold their people accountable, and then other superpowers would be more wary of committing the same acts with their own enemies.
Isn't there something somewhere that states that if the ICC tries to pursue an American citizen appointed official, the USA can and will invade The Hague?
