And a very nice photo! I've developed the habit of doing a midday shave. Though this wasn't one, your late-day luxury shaves have inspired me to move back to my early morning habit.
Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Black Watch - Eau de Toilette
Talc: Yardley Classic
2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
I got the idea for this setup from u/djundjila who used it on Monday. And kudos to you sir! I thought I would just get a hodge-podge of notes as I moved from (Mood )?Indigo to Cerberus to Black Watch, but there is definitely a thread. A bit like a curvy, scenic country road. I'm actually quite surprised how much I liked it. Of course this shave required a talc finish.
Post Shave: Thayer's Cucumber facial spray; Stirling Glacial Spearmint ASB
Damn, it's May already?! This year goes by fast ...
Anyways, 2 pass head shave with very refreshing software. Two passes seem to be my gold standard for a great slick dome. 1 is serviceable and 3 just overkill.
Since I haven't shaved since Saturday I had quite a lot of stubble to knock down. No problem with an MMOC though (thanks @djundjila since this one was a gift by him). I feel like SE razors are really good for head shaving if you're willing to slow down a bit. Especially with this efficient beast, taking it slow and steady is the key.
Rope Swing was chosen since today we had summer-like temperatures. Having WS-23 instead of menthol is a nice touch - this is known as 'Koolada' in the vaping world and is generally used for fresh stuff where you don't want the menthol aroma. It also succeeds here in shaving soap, as the fresh green scent is not masked by strong menthol. You know, sometimes I forget what soaps I actually have and today I realised that I could probably get rid of about 40% of it. Sounds shocking, but actually my taste has quite changed since my beginnings. Rope Swing would stay, but Cannonball must definitely go...
Last time I tried Daemon, something seemed to burn my skin, so it ended up in the back of a drawer. I found it again the other day. I remember really enjoying the scent of Daemon, so I thought before I move this one on I should try it again. This morning, I didn't have the same irritation to it. Maybe I'll use this one a little more often now.
