A coordinated effort to stop buying animal products on a mass scale could go a long way toward crippling the GOP, but too many on the left are still too busy crying, "no ethical consumption under capitalism tho," to be ready for that conversation.
I’m not against your message but this isn’t really going to change behavior. Like it or not, incremental changes will be the only thing most Americans are open to. This sort of stuff just makes people dislike vegans
FWIW, I've reduced my beef consumption by like, probably, 70% since I started buying Beyond/Impossible stuff. Incremental change is possible; doesn't have to be all or nothing / all at once.
My ex was a vegetarian, so I made an effort. Some of those efforts stuck, and I'm okay with that. Even a reduction is a net benefit. Just wish it was less expensive, but I do stock up when it's on sale.
I've not tried those, but I've heard similar. Will have to check them out.
Do they cook like Impossible/Beyond? The neices and nephews love it in Hamburger Helper or tacos, though I also use TVP grounds for "instant tacos" (as they like to call them lol).
The interesting thing is finding that maybe not as many animals are "obligate carnivores" than we first thought, though this is definitely something that needs more study.
