According to senior U.S. military officials, Russian surveillance drones and hunter-killer drones have changed the situation on the ground substantially, increasing the vehicles' risk of detection.

Tanks are going the way of the battleship
- They been that way since probably vietnam, but the MIC exists to transfer public funds to private executives, not to build effective armed forces.
- This is quite the turning point.
War becoming cheaper to wage as these machines become obsolete is good news for the Proletariat.
- Conversely - those FPVs and quads with thermals that drop grenades are a pretty bad news for the proletariat

Seriously, just a quiet quad copter with a fairly sensitive microphone can hear these things from miles away.

Turbine engines in tracked vehicles have a very distinctive sound.
