Thank fuck this didn't happen at race speed

  That could have gotten painful
- F1 brakes are air cooled..
  
  so it was precisely because he slowed down entering the pit and did not have enough (fast moving) air to cool the brakes
  
  With the brake stuck it wouldve still overheated and caught fire regardless of the amount of cooling.
  
  Yeah, how else would they be cooled? That changes nothing about my statement
It kind of reminded me of people driving on a flat tire along the edge of the highway. I wonder if the driver meetings talk about where the best areas to pull over are for different types of issues
Any news on why this happened?
