People in the comments seem to be confused. "Archived" as in compressed to a tarball, or "archived" as in no longer maintained?

that feel when you use gnome and the extension you need is incompatible with your newer version and turns out to be no longer maintained 😢

6 20 ReplyUsually because the GNOME API has changed significantly in some way. As much as I love GNOME, they change things often enough to frequently end the life of extensions.
I'm still sad about Fildem (global menu) being killed. Although I'm not 100% sure it wasn't just abandoned as a project tbf
