Tourism minister Harin Fernando told Daily Mirror that the ministry has been receiving complaints of some Russian tourists running unregistered and illegal businesses in the southern part of the country.
Raids were conducted by the authorities following discussions with the Immigration Department, he said.
It comes amid a furious social media backlash over Russian-run businesses with a “whites only” policy that strictly bars locals. These businesses include bars, restaurants, water sports and vehicle hiring services.
Yeah I'd want to deport that too.
- Imagine the arrogance of leaving your country to avoid military service only to run a clandestine racist tourism business in your host country
  
  It takes an extra special kind of asshole, and apparently Russia is #1 in breeding them.
Does this still count as a blacklash if they were doing it to Sri Lankans?
Kind of fucked up to send them back. You could rewrite the headline to be Sri Lanka sends hundreds or Russians to fight against Ukraine!

  Again. It's one of life's ironies that the top refugee-hosting nations in the world are mostly the Low Income Countries.
  
  I know that this isn't how it actually works, but in my opinion, if you didn't want to help the people, then don't let them in in the first place. Once you let them into your country as refugees you're responsible for their safety, like your own citizens. Figure a way out for that relationship to be beneficial to both parties. This just shows that they're short sighted, and didn't actually care about well being of the refugees.
