“Across the Spider-Verse” took the top prize, dark horse “Robot Dreams” snagged the indie award, and Oscar contender “War Is Over!” won best short.

Why not? Its one of the best released last year, with a good story line and assiduous animation work.
While Spider-Verse Is GREAT, I cannot help but feel the Awards season Is going to do Miyazaki's movies dirty once again. The Boy and the Heron Is spellbinding, powerful and artistic as It can get, and fearing that It might be snubbed because of those exact reasons Is soulcrushing.
