I don't hate Enterprise, but I do hate that we were supposed to get Star Trek: Excelsior.

  Yes. The flashback episode with Tuvok on the Excelsior was meant to be a backdoor pilot.

Still my favorite Star Trek movie. It's just perfection. Thank Nicholas Meyer for that.
