A week after a CNN investigation found that the Israeli military damaged or destroyed at least 16 cemeteries in Gaza since the beginning of the war, the Israeli military invited CNN into Gaza to explain why it partially destroyed one cemetery.
Destruction of cemeteries can also constitute an attempt to erase a culture i.e., genocide. Perhaps they liked what the Chinese have been doing to the Uighurs.
I don’t mean to have an emotional fist fight, and I think Israel has a bad track record for avoiding civilian casualties to say the least, but I don’t understand what Israel would have to gain by using expensive bombs on a cemetery. Just making sure we remain credible in our criticism of israel
Edit: thank you for the replies guys. It helps me understand what looked like a propaganda article at first glance
Destroying everything Palestinian to eventually make Gaza an extension of Israel. And they’re doing this in the most obscene way possible so that nothing is left. Everything is destroyed. And that people forget.
It's all about propaganda and trying to create the illusion of evidence to gain international support. We have pretty much reached the point where "Israel claims..." has as much weight as "Russian says..." keeping in mind that Russia has also killed their own people and tried to blame it on the enemy.
There's footage of the aftermath of this. Shrouded corpses and mangled body parts stick out of the ground amist piles of dirt and tank tracks. It's horrific.
Fuck israel. How can they commit genocide considering their recent enough history, amd before you say anything, its not anti semetic to criticize israel, its what is happeneing and the westerm world is backing them up.
But that press release also undermined Goldfuss’ claim that the underground command center was directly below the cemetery. A map released by the military placed the command center outside the graveyard.
