How long has the ability to add notes to people's names been there?

Because I just found it, and it works great.
Now, what do you want to be noted as?

... what? How?
- It's so simple you'll feel dumb:
  Click on the three dots to the right of my comment. Next to the reply arrow.
  Select Add Note.
  
  You can do it from a comment, a post, and a profile.
  
  I don't see an Add Note, only message, Show Report Dialog, Block user, save, and view source

Hmm, I've known about it over a week. I think it was in one of the beta changelogs?

On Fark.com, we call it your "Farkie". Eg/ie/ex, "... I have you farkied as 'squirrel chaser'"
- On Lemmy.com, we call it your "Lemmie." Lemme lemmie you as 'farker.'
