If it were an evil genie it would include you as well because you didn't specify what type of "blindness" you were talking about, so the genie would make you super aware of everything you are not aware of, or blind, and if you don't go mad from the Revelation, you'd probably go on living, knowing that there is a reality beyond the one you perceive daily, and fall in utter despair. Your only relief would be that you are not alone now, as the rest of humanity shares your same fate.
good thing i have two more wishes, and that the dumb genie just granted me all the knowledge and enlightenment i need to avoid having them backfire
.... As long as you make your next wish to make your own change permanent, in such a way that a genie can't trick you, sure!
The question is what do you do with your last wish, now that you contain all the knowledge of the cosmos.
Maybe there IS a way to wish for infinite wishes without it backfiring on you.

You've forgotten it all. Only a vague shadow remains, an awareness it's out there, but permanently closed off to you. Enough for lifelong dissatisfaction, but not enough to gain real useful insight.
