Was just doing some Railjack -> Necramech missions with a buddy and the thought occurred to me that I'm using the simply most brutally effective Heavy Weapon in spite of my approach to Warframe shifting toward doing what's fun. So what Heavy Weapons do you use and why?
Further how do you mod them... though we don't exactly have the wealth of variety for Archgun mods as we do most other weapons.
Mausolon is good enough on the necramech. I'm currently rocking the Corvas Prime (gas) on archwing. Didn't build Larkspur Prime yet, not a huge upgrade, but should be good. Fluctus for Orphix.
Dunno how I've overlooked the Fluctus. I've just been hammering everything with a maxed out Ayanga... I'll have to get the Fluctus and see how it does in the swarm mode. Besides, to me there's just something viscerally fun about a good shotgun, energy or otherwise.
Kuva Ayuanga (or whatever it's called) because I didn't notice you can preview which weapon a Lich will have before you spawn it and my first Lich had it.
Larkspur (Prime) ftw, basically Kuva Nukor in space. While your average public squads are shooting at the enemies one by one, I’m MOPPING the entire map off the universe.
Honourable mentions:
Corvas Prime for PT, but I know some would prefer Mausolon or Imperator Vandal for the phase skip.
Fluctus for Orphix, not that anyone plays that mission.
Cortege, your beloved Ignis Wraith in space with the special Space Dad treatment.
Morgha, your Trumna in space.
The 2 kuva heavy weapons are alright as well, you can try them in the Kahl missions, so you can easily decide if you like them.
I still haven’t built any heavy weapons that require parts from the New Loka and the Perrin Sequence, so no comments on them yet.
Ooo didn't catch that it got the Larksput got the Prime Treatment. Back when I was overly concerned with effectiveness I has disfavored it for the Ayanga but now Nukor XL sounds like just the thing for some fun devastation.
I really want to like using the Dual Decurion because I'm in love with the giant akimbo pistol aesthetic, but having to reload every 2 seconds is so infuriating.
The Mausolon however feels great. Very satisfying secondary fire.
Yeah, maybe with the expansion of the content archipelago with Wispers in the Wall there'll be opportunities for more/better ammo mods.
An ammo efficiency mod would suit the DD quite nice +% chance when firing to not consume a round from magazine.
