Just wait, the onion volcano will make you feel better.

I have a stove top like that ... and I've never once thought of doing this ... now that I see it ... I'm wondering if I should.
- No, it's incredibly difficult to clean, even though it's a glass surface.
  It also cooks super unevenpy since only some spots are hot.
  
  I'm dumb but not stupid ... don't worry guys, I'm not even going to attempt this ... I know how to cook and I know not to do this ... even as a joke.
- So after seeing all this. Your first thought was “maybe I should try?”

  Like I said, I never thought of it until I saw it as a meme, then wondered if I should .... I'm a silly adult but I'm not stupid ... just cleaning the damned surface after doing that would be horrible let alone eating anything you would cook on it.
- Honestly you could get a griddle for your stove top and get a much safer, cleaner and overall better experience. Costs some money, but you could probably find one that would hold up for under $50

As long as he cleans the stove after, there's still potential for a delicious meal

  Yeah and then hopefully gets the cleaning stuff off the surface. Unless they like the flavour.
- It would still be considerably better to buy a product designed for this than to use your cook top as a griddle lol

- They probably didnt even clean the stove before let alone clean after
- I am doubtful the culinary skills of the person who thought of this can do much better than cooked all the way through.
