Oh and apparently America was going to end the sanctions; totally; they were going to do it for real real; no fakesies!

And apparently Iran, a country that's.....what, 70 times the size of Israel? Has apparently been decimated and is war torn; sure, and I have a bridge to sell you. Iran wiped the floor with Israel and their only mistake is they stopped attacking.

Yeah Trump was totally going to end the sanctions, but now he's so emotionally hurt for not having been thanked he just won't. Very adult of you; no idea why anyone would call you a grown manchild.

Was once on a family vacation with one of my best friends, her parents are like 65ish. So not boomer boomers but they were able to buy a house right out of college on a single income, etc etc. Well, we had to change rooms suddenly at the hotel we were at and my friend's sister, hours later, realized the bottle of perfume her dead grandmother had given her was missing and was in tears talking about how she should've never brought it on the trip, yadda yadda. Well, she goes down to the lobby still crying and tells the manager on duty that she think it is in the bedside table's drawer & the manager is like
"someone else is already in the room so we can't do anything but give them a call in the morning and ask them to check; the cleaning staff must not have seen it because otherwise they would've brought it down here to the lost and found"
Well, turns out the lost and found DID have an empty ring box that was also in the drawer (she had bought a ring at some store and put the box in the same drawer with the perfume) - so sister comes back, still upset, and is like "I think one of the cleaning staff probably took it because the lost & found had the empty ring box but not the perfume and they were in the same drawer, so I'm not sure how one would've turned up but not the other".
Whole family is about to make a scene and me & her dad are both sitting there in the pool like "guys...chill out, forming a militia to hunt down some poor cleaning lady is not the move here" (in retrospect I should've just kept my damn mouth shut but I felt I had to be the voice of reason before a bunch of angry women started harassing every cleaning lady they saw about perfume)
Her mom looks at me and smiles. "ABC is right. You catch more flies with honey instead of vinegar. ABC will you come with me down to the lobby? I'm just gonna tell the manager that we're offering a $100 reward no questions asked if the perfume turns up" Stupidly, I say sure and go to the room to put on some dry clothes.
Tell me why the first words out of her mouth when we get down to the lobby and the manager shows up are "I'm not accusing ANYONE of theft but it seems like someone may have accidentally put it in their pocket..."
I wish I could've seen my face during this because the entire time I was sitting there just thinking "you're using vinegar! you're using vinegar!! this is not honey at all!!!"
and no, if you were wondering, the perfume did not turn up but I made sure to tip the housekeeping staff on our way out because none of them were willing to do so lol
- Oof; I actually had a hilarious opposite case of this; My uncle (very elderly) was sitting with me when I was much younger to help me deal with insurance after I got into a car accident; he tells me that you've got to be tough with these guys, you can't be nice, you have to be as hard as you can and to really make them squirm; we go in and he's the nicest, friendliest person I've ever met.

This is just not true. At most, Iran managed to land dozens of hits on population centres in Israel using ballistic missiles (only one out of the thousands of one way attack drones launched at Israel even landed a hit), with no impact on Israeli military and air force operations or their sortie rate, an abject military failure. Meanwhile, Israel had fighter aircraft dropping JDAMs on Tehran within 48 hours of the start of the war, and did not lose a single manned aircraft throughout the entire conflict. Israel was able to suppress Iran's missile launch facilities in the west and forced Iran to switch to an attrition strategy instead of firing large salvos of missiles at Israel. Iran had their top military leadership decimated through decapitation strikes and assasinations which prevented an initial counterstrike, none of the Israeli leadership were even bothered. Iran had massive internal security issues with Mossad commandos launching anti tank guided missiles and FPV drones at crucial elements of Iran's defensive infrastructure (such as the fire control radars of air defence systems), Israel did not have any notable internal security issues. By the end of the war, Iran had their most valuable state assets directly bombed by the United States and Israel bombing as far east as Yadz, 1850km from Tel Aviv. Just look up how many models of Iranian ballistic missiles have a range greater than 1850km, it's not many. Iran retaliated (retaliation is a strong word here) with 14 old SCUD C based missiles fired at a single US military base, with all being intercepted or falling short.
This was as one sided as a military conflict gets between two regional powers. Militarily, Iran were completely outclassed. You can talk about if Israel accomplished strategic goals or failed strategically, that's a different issue. It's certainly possible to be vastly superior militarily and fail in accomplishing strategic goals. If Israel's goal was regime change for instance, that failed obviously.
I don't care what Trump says or pay much attention to it. But the reality is that this war went very poorly for Iran. Bombing Tel Aviv does not do anything to degrade the military capabilities of Israel, or deter them at this point. Israel went into this war knowing very well that Tel Aviv would be bombed, and chose to attack anyways, the Israeli military leadership clearly does not care about civilian casualties. Unless Iran can credibly threaten Israel's military and air force, there is nothing stopping Israel from doing this all over again, with the same result.
