i used to buy weed off this guy 10 years my junior who rode his longboard everywhere in a town where nobody rides a skateboard even in parks. in those days, i walked basically everywhere so i have the pedestrian annoyance for people with wheels, since cars are assholes and everybody else (cyclists, scooter clowns, etc) is shoved onto a piece of concrete about 24" wide.
but not this kid and his longboard. my man just cruised everywhere in a relaxed standing position, like some kinda goddam wizard magicking his ass around town. with weed.
I actually recently had a battery failure after about 9000 miles on my EUC and it just disabled the failed battery and told me "please repair" while keeping me from faceplanting with the other battery. All my crashes have been either skill issues on my end or cars existing, fuck cars.
i think it's neat there's a little pulley on the chain to get that extra bit of force, and that the work is all about the difference in radius between the gears and the wheel
I like biking, but it's enough work that if I'm not driving, I'm walking. Back in the day I biked for hours every day and I did a bunch of insane maintenance and stuff to have the quality to not die in traffic. The prep-time for biking can be intense if you're truly dedicated.
