Hopefully this means Google maps is also improving its routing for bicycle routes, as it has a number of issues routing on bike routes in the Netherlands.
Yeah, it's close to useless in my city, in stark contrast to the quality of its driving directions. It loves to ignore quiet roads too send me to chaotic large busy intersections without bike lanes.
I just wish outer boroughs would take it more seriously. I have a lot of bike lanes in my zone 5 borough, but they start out of nowhere, go for a short while and then end suddenly. So on paper we have loads of cycling infrastructure here, but in practice it's useless and it's better and safer to just ride on the road in traffic.
