Sorry, poor phrasing on my part. I didn't mean to imply that China wasn't 100% within their rights considering the USA absolutely started shit. American government fucked around now it's finding out.

Think theres a misunderstanding here. As far as i know the issue with rare earths isnt like oil or something. You have to process lots of material to get them. You dont find like big deposits of them. You take the normal mined material, process it, and extract the rare earths. So the US cant just invade somewhere and take them. Theyd need to actually build the facilities to process the materials.
