  • 33 here and started HRT about two and a half years ago.

    • Wow that's close to my timeline. Any advice?

      • HRT isn’t not a magic cure-all but it does feel magical at times, results come pretty slowly at our age, and get started whenever you want to because you can get at least a couple of months of the emotional and mental effects before any permanent physical effects happen (and a month or three is plenty of time to decide to turn back if you don’t like the emotional and mental effects).

  • Thanks for making this post to begin with. I’m just exploring Lemmy as part of my complete overhaul with technology. Definitely feeling like when I used to stumble on communities and forums for niche content and then start getting to know people through forum posts.

I am in the mindset right now that I need to be part of creating the content I would want to be seeing. It’s a wasteland otherwise if we don’t make engagement, together.

Oh also 35, married (wlw), have kids and cats, Canadian and been on HRT for nearly 1 year, out and socially transitioned before then because I had to wait over a year to get HRT access and still looking at all the wrong gender was not an option after I accepted I was trans.
