Yep believing in myself when i have a overwhelming amount of evidence that would be a bad bet is to abandon reason and embrace superstition.

See my trick is that it I don't believe in myself, I'll never do anything to cause me to get in a mess.
But it's also really lonely

The trick is to get future self to do it! Always works out…sometimes.
But then I hate my past self for making me do it.
