It s been about a year now since the last update, and the author's account has been radio silent....
Wonder if things are okay

I just saw the dev comment on another thread somewhere saying they had been busy but we're working on an update that will come out soon.

I'm still using it even with ads, so I'm glad they're still alive. Idk why, though. What features do we even lack?

I think spoilers are still not working. (Please do not interpret "still" as impatience).

- the instance side bar is still missing
- formatting of markdown like spoiler tag
- a way to view the bottom bar where often the "legal" url for site policies are
- a page to view registration applications
- a way to switch between accounts while staying on the same post/while commenting. The reddit version had this feature
- a way to configure what language you are commenting/posting with

Post/comment swipe gesture actions would be nice. Lets you hide a bunch of buttons per default which cleans up the UI.

I hate it doesn't have algorithms to recommend some new subreddit or whatever it's called here and that it doesn't show more the subreddits that I visit most often, I'm tired of seeing so many r/worldnews or wtv, I want to see less posts of it and because it was being annoying, I ended up unsubscribing. I go to reddit more often because of this

I look at it this way if the app still works with the latest version of lemmy server then it's not abandoned and the new version is done when it's done. Until it breaks it's not abandoned.

By that definition many of the games I have from the 90's on CD's that are still playable from companies that no longer exist are not abandoned 😝

Yeah the concepts of constant updates has been pushed by corporations as a loop hole for planned obsolescence. If the software works and you get what you wanted put of it then it's not abandoned by the users just the developers are finished with it for now. Hell look at pillars of Eternity just got an update after how many years. Also it's the very thing the https://www.stopkillinggames.com/ movement is all about.

Dude, I have just ditched Sync because it got abandoned, and moved to Boost a few weeks ago. Don't scare me : ). (They had been busy, but they are working on an update).

I also ditched Sync recently. Shame, at least Boost is good. I don't really feel like the other apps quite match either...

I've been busy irl, but I'm working on a new update with some of the changes added from Lemmy 0.19.6 to 0.19.10

I just changed that and I would love to recommend other people do the same, I have used your apps for years, and they're fking amazing. You deserve every penny and I'm thrilled to support ongoing development because I know Lemmy is undergoing technical changes and you need to keep hustling to make Boost work.
