Until capitalism and the internet made books into a commodity, drowning people in “ideas” of lesser and lesser quality, eroding senses of truth and conviction.
Now, for every well-thought-out idea there’s a million cheap excuses and flat-out lies to neutralize them.
Capitalism has made ideas and thinking meaningless.
