This isn't just bad for the food banks and their patrons, but also the farms that produced the food for these programs.
That's what I don't think people understand about these types of programs. They employ American workers to buy American crops and feed Americans. It's a win all the way down the chain.
The Equity part of DEI was those small farms that got the lucrative steady contracts. Good luck competing for those contracts on an open bid if they even come back.
