I wrote a REST API that does CRUD and when I tested the first iteration it worked instantly with no errors, not even a stray ;! And whilst this might not be unprecedented in the history of programming, it's certainly unprecedented in my history of programming.
We've got our garden back. Our retaining wall collapsed in February and we didn't want to pay a contractor to do it so we decided to do it ourselves. We made a 15m³ gabion wall filled with found materials. We had to pay for laying of our new porcelain slabs but, as of this morning, there is only a slight tidy up left! Such a weight off. Now we can finally enjoy it... Going in to winter... a win anyway!
We got a tumble dryer yesterday! Sounds pretty basic I know, but I've lived with my now-husband for over ten years and he's always refused on eco grounds. No more will our clothes take a whole week to dry and end up going weirdly foisty half the time! No more shall our towels be unpleasantly hard! NO MORE!
Also, they said 7am-7pm for delivery which we all know translates to "you'll sit there literally all day and then if you're lucky it'll turn up 1 minute before the deadline". But no! 10 past 7 in the bloody morning! We got to have a whole actual day of being able to leave the house and do things!
You can maybe tell by the sheer amount of exclamation marks how excited I am about this.
Lol ok I might have been exaggerating slightly. But thick things like jeans genuinely were taking ages!
We've actually given in not because the slow-drying jeans and crusty towels got to us, but because of health issues with my other half. So fingers crossed this thing solves basically all our life problems in one go 😅
