The article is a mess that doesn't know what it wants and repeats itself multiple times. Almost reads like AI wrote this.

  ffs. maybe time the lemmy community / mods implements a kind of blacklist for shit like this. 1 or 2 strikes and perma-ban of links to it.

The headline says they tried to save them and then the article is basically, "they could have saved them! Why didn't they save them?!" and then ends with "it wouldn't have worked anyway."
I think Screenrant needs to figure out what they were trying to say about this.
