Canadian retailer lists multiple custom AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards: starting at $586 and listed for up to $698 for custom RDNA 4.
Those are both much cheaper than the 5080 and significantly cheaper than the 5090.
And most likely a lot slower as well. You should probably compare them with 5070 / 5070Ti.
Which they aren't competing against. Compare it to 5070 and 5070ti. Benchmarks will be a bloodbath I reckon. (In nvidia favor)
Keep in mind that US customer will likely pay a at least 10% more due to stupid tariffs and we're still need to see what the actual performance is.
It's all down to performance for that price and how it will compete with NVIDIA and also itself with RX 7900 series.
Got an open box 7900 XT waiting at home. I'm trying my best to wait for reliable info on performance and pricing of the 9070 XT, but my guess is that it won't be faster and the 20 GB VRAM would be nice. I paid 600 EUR including VAT and it sure doesn't look like the 9070 XT will be cheaper than that or so fast that it would warrant a higher price. Even if we assume that RT performance and FSR 4 will be great.
I just got a 7900 XTX because of the much better performance to price ratio. And 24 GB VRAM should help it last quite a while. The trouble was finding stock in Canada. I imagine this 9000 series will have the same issue.
The 9070 would have to be below $500 to have a chance.
Was pleasantly surprised then noticed it's already converted to USD. :(
It's the prices I expected but I was hoping they actually meant it when they wanted to go for market share.
