new precedent fork?
Meta loses case and AI training on copyrighted materials becomes illegal.
Meta wins case and piracy becomes legal.
Surely I'm missing something right?
- Settling for damages, no admission of wrongdoing.
  Meta erodes argument via legal technicalities and wins/loses, but the legality of piracy doesn't factor into the decision. No real precedent is set and fines are worth the potential profit so nothing notable changes.
