Even Microsoft Notepad is getting AI text editing now
Notepad isn’t safe from AI.
Yesterday Apple’s TextEdit autocorrected (capitalization) and it made me really mad. I’m trying to type a case sensitive input file using a full keyboard. Leave me the fuck alone.
They should have stopped after they added tabs to notepad. That was an actually good change.
The whole point of the app is to be simple, any, any extra fluff is detrimental to the core functioning of the app.
The one feature it actually needs that it's missing is syntax highlighting
Switching to Sublime Text as my default text editor everywhere was game changing.
I just move to that version and other thing I find really cool is that the file can be edited while open and it shows the updates in real time. Pretty useful to check logs or other like that.
Glad notepad++ isn't owed by microcrap
