I hope this domino effect continues. It's time corporations remember who contributes value to their businesses, and it's not the leeches, er, shareholders.
Good for them! All this bullshit about "you only get paid when the doors shut", while ignoring the time wasted during flight delays and the time worked before and after the flight is just that - bullshit. Plus they act like the "perks" should offset the low pay, completely ignoring how the pay never kept pace with the economy and the "perks" are continually eroded.

“There are instances where flight attendants are sitting anywhere from two to four hours, what becomes a mechanical rolling delay, where that full time is not accounted for and paid for. So, it’s not just the boarding, but it’s anytime that we are required to be on duty at work in uniform, that we are advocating for pay,” she said.
The union provided annual pay estimates for Alaska Airlines flight attendants, with average base pay ranging from $24,000 to $27,000 a year, which they note is not nearly enough to keep up with the high cost of living, especially in expensive cities where Alaska Airlines bases are located, including San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles.
This should be criminal.
Alaska Airlines is headquartered in Seattle. $24,000 is enough to last you a few months in Seattle.

It's absolutely crazy that flight attendants don't get paid until the plane doors close.
How did airplane companies get away with this?

- I don’t see the issue with it as long as they are getting paid a good rate.
  For instance if you’re collecting 250k a year from doing this work it doesn’t matter much if it were salary or if the doors are closed because it’s good money either way.
  The problem here is that they aren’t getting that 250k because their rates are so low.
  
  Agreed, whether it's pay by mile, from when the door's shut, when boarding, or set off by the time a certain phone call dispatches you, that's just semantics. If you're making a good wage or salary, what of it? The real issue is 24k-27k a year. That's 13 bucks an hour on the top end. 13 bucks an hour when you have 2k a month rent for the cheap roach infested slums in most cities.
Been a travesty airlines have just been breaking labor law all this time
LFG!!! At this point, GENERAL STRIKE!!!
At minimum, they should be paid for their before and after takeoff as well as all time caused by delays.
