Bulletins and News Discussion from October 14th to October 20th, 2024 - Paper Tigers
Image is a frame taken from this video of Iranian missiles raining down on Israel without interception due to a weak and depleted air defense system after a year of war and genocide.
Mao, 1956:
Now U.S. imperialism is quite powerful, but in reality it isn't. It is very weak politically because it is divorced from the masses of the people and is disliked by everybody and by the American people too. In appearance it is very powerful but in reality it is nothing to be afraid of, it is a paper tiger. Outwardly a tiger, it is made of paper, unable to withstand the wind and the rain. I believe the United States is nothing but a paper tiger.
When we say U.S. imperialism is a paper tiger, we are speaking in terms of strategy. Regarding it as a whole, we must despise it. But regarding each part, we must take it seriously. It has claws and fangs. We have to destroy it piecemeal. For instance, if it has ten fangs, knock off one the first time, and there will be nine left, knock off another, and there will be eight left. When all the fangs are gone, it will still have claws. If we deal with it step by step and in earnest, we will certainly succeed in the end.
Strategically, we must utterly despise U.S. imperialism. Tactically, we must take it seriously. In struggling against it, we must take each battle, each encounter, seriously. At present, the United States is powerful, but when looked at in a broader perspective, as a whole and from a long-term viewpoint, it has no popular support, its policies are disliked by the people, because it oppresses and exploits them. For this reason, the tiger is doomed. Therefore, it is nothing to be afraid of and can be despised. But today the United States still has strength, turning out more than 100 million tons of steel a year and hitting out everywhere. That is why we must continue to wage struggles against it, fight it with all our might and wrest one position after another from it. And that takes time.

WHY WOULD ISRAEL RELEASE THAT VIDEO OF HIM THROWING A STICK AT THE DRONE
This is like releasing footage of Che shouting "Shoot coward, you will only kill a man" right before his death. They've released the exact footage you should not release when a leader dies a hero's death.
in this week's newsmega there have been several reports on posts for being "cringe" because the posts compare Sinwar to fictional figures in pop culture, like anime/game/books/movies. I haven't acted on these. Reporters, you have the casualty wrong. It's not that Sinwar resembles these fictional heroes, it's that fictional heroes are created to exemplify and embody real life virtues. Real people throughout history including Sinwar demonstrate virtues like bravery, defiance, and sense of justice through their real actions. The history of real people in turn informs and inspires the type of characters artists create in fiction.
When a poster says "the dying moments of Sinwar makes me think of one of my animes" they are consciously or unconsciously picking up on how fictional characters are inspired by reality. There is a rich and storied history of heroic, liberatory fighters that inspire artists, and while Sinwar was obviously his own man with his own legacy, he is also part of that tradition.
In short, no I will not take mod action on posts just for being cringe.
Israel is so self-righteous and so arrogant that they must have assumed this would be seen as their glorious Osama Bin Laden moment. But it's the opposite. It's like something out of a dystopia movie where the bad guys have all the advantages and all the tech but the hero dying in the rubble refuses to quit. A stick is all he has and it's a physical struggle for him to use it but he uses it anyway.
The Israeli details about the killing of Sinwar depict him as fighting to the end. He was wearing a keffiyeh and fatigues. And stares down his high tech assassin’s flying robot. Throws a stick at it with his one good hand. For a year, Israel has portrayed Sinwar as a coward hiding in tunnels surrounded by hostages. And they will continue to portray him that way. But the details of his death they’ve released will solidify his image as fighting Israel to the end.
Speaking of Sinwar, even in Gaza there has been a wave of trash floating over people about him, a lot would curse him the past few months because they believed he was sitting comfortably while they had to endure the war, this breaks that. And I don't think anyone was expecting this 62 year old man to have been fighting in the front lines, you don't understand how dumb israel is for showing us how they killed him, they disproved the same lies they've spread for an entire year, a cowar rat living in the tunnels surrounded by human shields turns out to have been the entire time in the safest place can be when fighting western forces... the front lines
What's going on in Northern gaza right now is truly horrifying.
Literal killing fields happening
Breaking Israeli occupation forces prepared a deep hole in one of the squares surrounding the Indonesian Hospital, and placed some males in it with their hands tied and their eyes blindfolded In north Gaza
Link has a video, no gore. There's also other photo where children can be seen
Every little detail I hear about Sinwar's life and death makes it feel straight out of Shōnen Jump. A man born in a refugee camp that outlives him. A man who went from emiseration to a college degree. A man who became fluent in his oppressors language in captivity. A man who went from indefinite imprisonment to leading the resistance. A man who projects a Samsonian level of indomitability. They have to keep making excuses that 'he's in another country', 'he's underground' for why they just can't kill him for years, but you can find him walking down the street in Gaza and just pull him aside for an interview.
He's still above ground fighting, a year into the entire region being carpet-bombed with the expressed intent to kill him specifically. He gets hit with tanks, missiles, dronefire, he's still fighting with a severed hand–he's 61 years old! Even when he's bleeding out in a dusty-old chair exposed to the elements, the surveillance drone pilots are still instinctively dodging the pieces of rebar he's chucking at the damned thing in a final 'fuck you' to his oppressors with his one good hand.
They have to finish him off with a sniper round. They can't touch this man. They can't be near this man. He's the bogeyman. It feels intrinsically embarrassing to even make the comparison–it makes me feel like my analysis is fundamentally juvenile, but I just cannot shut it out of my mind, it keeps coming back to me the more I think about it–this man went out like Gojo Satoru. A life and a death that can only be rivaled by Che Guevara's in terms of it feeling straight out of fiction. What a guy.
At the rate she’s going, Kamala will next appear on Lex Friedman with special guest Jordan Peterson to discuss why men feel isolated. Then she’ll make a surprise appearance on Asmongold’s stream to react to Tyler Olivera while muttering “based” every time he suggests that immigrants should be culled.
Finally, she’ll clinch the undecided vote by attending a book signing with celebrated author and beloved feminist, JK Rowling.
Edit: I forgot her one-upping Trump by having Peter Thiel attend one of her rally’s.
It's completely insane to me that the Israelis actually released the video of Sinwar's death, along with a bunch of details that confirmed that he died fighting until his last breath on the front lines. Do they not understand how that looks?
Jesus fucking christ. I said last week that Israel was going full steam ahead with extermination in the north, and it seems my worst fears have come to pass
Hossam Shabbat, a Palestinian journalist reporting in North Gaza, says the IDF has made a “deep hole” in the grounds of Indonesian Hospital, and has placed males in it with hands tied and eyes blindfolded.
This follows reports of summary executions taking place in the hospital.
Folks, it's time for the latest installation of "Western media finally says the things the news mega has been saying for 2+ years". I'm just going to highlight a couple quotes I think are interesting, but the article is a quick read.
Israel faces a looming shortage of interceptor missiles as it shores up air defences to protect the country from attacks by Iran and its proxies, according to industry executives, former military officials and analysts.
The US is racing to help close gaps in Israel’s protective shield, announcing on Sunday the deployment of a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (Thaad) antimissile battery, ahead of an expected retaliatory strike from Israel on Iran that risks further regional escalation.
“Israel’s munitions issue is serious,” said Dana Stroul, a former senior US defence official with responsibility for the Middle East.
“If Iran responds to an Israel attack [with a massive air strike campaign], and Hizbollah joins in too, Israel air defences will be stretched,” she said, adding that US stockpiles were not limitless. “The US can’t continue supplying Ukraine and Israel at the same pace. We are reaching a tipping point.”
As it turns out, profit maximization, lean manufacturing, and just-in-time logistics is not compatible with a rapidly expanding warfront. Apparently, stockpiles and excess industrial capacity are kind of important when you want to fight another country with a peer or near-peer industrial base, let alone multiple.
The US-supplied Thaad battery, which is designed to shoot down ballistic missiles, will sit alongside Israel’s Arrow system. It bolsters Israel’s overall air defences as Benjamin Netanyahu’s government plans its retaliatory strike for Iran’s missile barrage in October, which Tehran said was to avenge the killing of the leaders of the Hamas and Hizbollah militant groups.
Is "sit along side" metaphorical or literal, here? My gut feeling is that this is literal, and they are going to place the THAAD battery, which will be operated by ~100 US troops, next to an Arrow battery, meaning that the strategy is to use US troops as human shields to deter a strike on the interceptor batteries.
“We are not seeing Hizbollah’s full capability yet. It has only been firing at around a tenth of its estimated prewar launching capacity, a few hundred rockets a day instead of as many as 2,000,” said Assaf Orion, a former Israeli brigadier general and head of strategy at the Israel Defense Forces.
“Some of that gap is a choice by Hizbollah not to go full out, and some of it is due to degradation by the IDF . . . But Hizbollah has enough left to mount a strong operation,” Orion added. “Haifa and northern Israel are still on the receiving end of rocket and drone attacks almost every day.”
Analysts said that defence planners and Israel’s AI-powered air defences were having to choose which areas to protect over others.
More than 20,000 rockets and missiles have been fired at Israel over the past year from Gaza and Lebanon alone, according to official Israeli figures.
“During the October 1 attack, there was a sense the IDF reserved some Arrow interceptors in case Iran fired its next salvo at Tel Aviv,” said Ehud Eilam, a former researcher at Israel’s Ministry of Defence. “It’s only a matter of time before Israel starts to run out of interceptors and has to prioritise how they are deployed.”
We are getting to the point where Israel is having to choose which missiles to let through, which is not a great spot to be in when your population has a very low tolerance for casualties.
The Harris campaign has released a 5 point agenda to "Create Opportunity for Black Men", that, on the surface, appears to be an attempt to steady what I am sure are cratering polls, and cynically, seems to have been created so they have something to point to and blame black men for not supporting her if and when she loses. Among the highlights: legal weed and "protecting cryptocurrency" lmao
If this were a Trump platform, the liberal media would be screaming about him a racist for thinking what's most important to black men is crypto and weed.
The B2’s that bombed Yemen flew out of Australia. British warplanes are thought to be participating in the bombing of Lebanon. German ships are taking down drones. France is contributing to the Iron Dome. The US is tracking targets for assassination. It’s basically a fucking crusade at this point.
Kamala Harris has hailed the death of Yahya Sinwar as an opportunity to finally end the war in Gaza and prepare for “the day after” when Hamas no longer dominates the territory.
The US vice-president and Democratic nominee said “justice has been served” with the death of the Hamas leader, adding that the US, "Israel" and the wider world were “better off as a result”.
fucking hate her so much. rest in power Yahya Sinwar you will always be remembered
"Israel" spent years talking about how Hamas uses human shields when fighting, yet when they found Sinwar (actually, Sinwar found them) he was alone armed with nothing but an AK, a vest and a bunch of grenades. Sinwar proved them wrong over and over again, he was not in Qatar, he wasn't hiding in bunkers never coming out and he wasn't fighting against the enemy hiding behind defenseless women and children. He stood alone against an elite group of "israeli" soldiers that included artillery and tanks, he fought them even as a tank shell severed his hand and left him mortally wounded.., but still kept fighting, all by himself with whatever strenght he had left.
When you read the details about how "israel" got him, it proves that Sinwar, despite his age, was still able to fend off a much larger "israeli" force by himself with inferior tools, and only after they employed overwhelming firepower they were able to take him down. "Israel" will not win and destruction awaits for them at the end of the road.
This is what happens I suppose when you put someone who believes the NHS is a cult in charge of healthcare.
Mr ban puberty blockers, who once compared their usage to medical experimentation, now wants to carry out unethical medical experimentation on the unemployed.
Just go back from the assembly we held at our university, and we resolved: The building will be occupied by the students and the authorities will be displaced*, effective now the premises are under student control for an indefinite period of time. Classes will resume as normal (most will be held in the street). We also declared a state of permanent assembly.
*I'll dig more into this. We voted on displacing them, however, I think some will remain in their posts to fulfill their duties. What I think happens is that their authority is shared with the students, meaning that we kinda abolished hierarchies lmao.
Meanwhile, more and more universities are being occupied by students, althrough such occupations differ from one another. I think the number is well above 50 institutions around the country, more will be joining us as the movement gets bigger.
A few days ago, milei announced that occupations are illegal and thus efforts must be directed to evict those who participate in the occupations.
So, anybody knows how to deal with riot police? Honestly I don't know what to expect, in one hand we're protected by the right of protest and there's also the fact that neither police or federal forces are allowed to intervene in universities (they can't even step inside), on the other, it's milei we're talking about, not that he gives a shit about all this. I do expect shady people to come and go from the building to collect intelligence for the cops, this has happened before.
What keeps me worried are possible sporadic attacks by pro-milei people. Today, during the assembly to decide on the occupation of the University of Quilmes, a group of libertarians tried to crash it by using tear gas on students. They were promptly kicked off the establishment and the university was occupied regardless. This hasn't happened in previous times when universities were occupied because the conext was different, but now, fascists and libertarians (they are the same thing) are completely empowered by the state. Gotta keep watch I guess.
So there is an American Football Game going on, and I was right under the fighter jets flyby path. That was one of the loudest things I've heard. I also can't help but to realize this is the sound millions of people around the world hear and assume it is their death.
They're out here doing literal kristallnacht re-enactment
Tonight, over 100 armed Israeli terrorist settlers invaded the village of Jaloud in Nablus, West Bank.
They set cars ablaze, fired at houses, hurled stones, and cut water and electricity lines. After their assault, they blasted music and danced in the streets, celebrating the terror they had caused.
Sinwar died like an anime character, and I don't mean to trivialize his death with that statement, I mean it in the most respectful way possible. Defiant to the end, almost brings a tear to my eye how powerful it was.
I'm convinced that the Zionists sent the drone to kill him out of fear that if any of them tried to do so in person, he would have merc'd them with the stick.
excuse me I'm gonna wax poetic for a bit, except poorly written because I only have a couple minutes.
All through this it's become more and more clear that the oppressed of the world, the very people the "civilized" world consider to be "sub-human savages", have exhibited far more humanity than any of the ghouls in the "civilized" world ever has. In them I see the kind of strength, bravery, compassion, and fire that the "civilized" world arrogantly believe themselves to possess; the oppressed and their defiance to the savagery of the "civilized" world are truly inspiring, they have shown what humanity truly looks like. The "civilized" world believes themselves to be the bastion of compassion and humanity. But that cannot be further from the truth. The "civilized" world is a world of evil, cowardice, and barbarity. Their only desire is to satiate their own greed and desire to crush and dominate others. They have no values, and I can hardly believe they can exhibit human emotions. The "civilized" world are the true savages and barbarians, only hungering for blood, slaves, and sacrifices. Only... when it comes to the "savages" they look down on, they don't consider any of them to be "sacrifices" in any sense.
This isn't limited to Palestine, this goes throughout all of history of anti-colonial struggles.
EDIT: I had to edit this because a line I added while writing it fucked up the sequence.
Not gonna look at polls, kamala will lose. They'll blame Black/Hispanic people, men, Muslims, Jews, Jill Stein, and more, but the root cause will be the genocide in Palestine. If I'm wrong I'll run a marathon with no training or something similar idk
Both campaigns have no energy. Boring election cycle
Cuba: A massive march in solidarity with Palestine took place in Havana, to condemn the genocide of the Israeli government against the Palestinian people for the past year. This demonstration is also being replicated in Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen.
The Last Supper: the Hezbullah's drone attack is a response to the Pagers incident
The "New York Post" newspaper chose a mocking headline, "Beep Beep Boom!", for the terrorist attack involving pagers. Users on the internet responded with a picture of Hezbullah's drone and Whizz_Whizz_Boom hashtag where the whizz is the sound of drones.
I just saw a video of a child being burned alive in a hospital tent Israel bombed.
I feel sick. I don’t have words for what I want to happen to the people that did this. If I found the words and wrote them here the FBI would show up at my door.
I hope every American politician and every past or current member of the IDF experiences even 1/10th the pain and suffering they have inflicted on innocent children, women and men. Every IDF soldier deserves to be burnt alive in a tent like their victims. I’d say they deserve worse but I literally cannot think of anything worse.
🇵🇸 | Yahya Sinwar’s narration of a saying by Imam Ali (as), he said:
“I have well remembered this saying from Imam Ali: There are 2 days in a person's life: a day when death is not your destiny, and a day when death is your destiny. On the first day, no one can harm you, and on the second day, no one can save you."
My very least favorite phrase today are versions of this "He was suspected of using hostages as human shields to protect himself." Fucking US media parroting hasbara when the general public doesn't even know the word "hasbara".
Breaking News: Yemeni Armed Forces target the ship "MEGALOPOLIS" in the Arabian Sea due violation of Yemeni law banning ships and companies linked to Israel from shipping.
German media is currently plastering the image of a Palestinian burning in his hospital bed everywhere - not because they’re outraged over Israel’s crime against humanity, but because they’re demanding a politician who shared said image critically to resign over “antisemitism“
I'm just one episode away from finishing listening to Blowback Season 5, about Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge. I encourage newsheads to listen to it, like all their seasons it's very well put together and detailed. Every so often in the newsmega there are posts about 'why don't the vietnamese like the chinese very much?' Without being vietnamese myself or having any special insight into vietnamese public opinion, I can't help but think that China's actions actively supporting the viciously murderous Khmer Rouge regime in the late 70s has something to do with this. It's pretty wild to me that there was a time within living memory where China and the US were working together to support the Khmer Rouge against their shared foes of Vietnam/USSR. Bizarre and ugly history.
blowback season 5 is paywalled but the hosts appeared on free episodes of radio war nerd and chapo earlier this month if you want to get the jist.
Okay, I have been obsessing over this Tiktok for over an hour. When they say that Zionists do everything to prove to the world that every single anti-Semitic stereotype is true, they really do fucking mean it.
From this dude and other articles I've read, Zionist society apparently exalts the cheater and liar while being an honorable person invites only contempt and makes you a mark that will be exploited by others. They try to tone it down by saying that it's only applicable to stuff like cheating on your taxes or cutting in line, but that shit 100% goes way deeper especially when we're talking about a genocidal settler colony.
This is also a clue into why the Zionists actually thought it was a good idea to release the video of Sinwar's martyrdom. If we take this concept of frayer seriously, then from the warped perspective of Zionists, Sinwar was the ultimate frayer: a man who gave his life for the sake of others. In their eyes, he's the ultimate sucker and the video of his final moments on Earth as the ultimate sucker who could've send a bunch of low level Hamas grunts to die in his place should've invited universal mockery and contempt.
At the meeting of the Russian President with the BRICS media, the first question was from a representative of the Chinese CGTN, the second question was given to the Arab colleagues: "Does Russia feel like a junior partner of China in what is happening (in the confrontation) between China and the US?"
Putin: "Russia and China listen to each other, for 5-7 years I have spoken many times about "improving the balance" in trade - so that there would be more Russian industrial products in China. We hear each other, we straighten everything out, we are succeeding.
We do not interfere in the relations between China and the US.
The US is 15 years late, they will not be able to slow down the development of China, the same as telling the sun - don't rise.
NATO is dragging the Europeans into Asia. They were asked if they want to spoil relations with China? They are being dragged by a lasso like little dogs.
In relations with China, there are no seniors or juniors.
This directive does what the libs keep telling us Trump is going to do - it creates a legal framework for the US Military to be called in to "assist" local law enforcement and that they can be authorized to use deadly force against American citizens when doing so.
Is the IOF literally actually completely incapable of fighting actual Resistance fighters? From what I've seen they've done literally nothing but attack and murder civilians and children, but I've never seen them fighting someone who shoots back, at least not without standing in an open window and getting domed. Do you think they're actively trying to avoid Resistance fighters?
Sirens sounded today at an Israeli military base in the Beit Lid area after rockets were launched from Lebanon.
The instructions given to the soldiers in case of sirens were to lie on the ground and put their hands on their heads. The soldiers were verbally told: "Go hide in the sewage channels; they are safer."
Aid airdrops today from UAE planes in the southern Gaza Strip resulted in the martyrdom of 81-year-old Arif Khalil Hassan and the wounding of several others. His son stated: "We were sitting in our tents safely... Six boxes fell on him. We don't want aid. We want the war to end... Even the aid is killing us! The whole world is just watching

🟢 Hamas (1/2):
—
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Announcement of the Martyrdom of the Mujahid Leader and Great National Symbol Yahya Al-Sinwar "Abu Ibrahim," Commander of Al-Aqsa Flood Battle
"Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their vow, and some are still waiting, and they have not changed in the least."
With all the pride, dignity, and honor, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, mourns to our Palestinian people, to our entire nation, and to the free people of the world, one of the noblest and bravest men, a man who dedicated his life for Palestine and gave his soul for the sake of Allah on the path to its liberation. He was true to Allah, and Allah was true to him, choosing him as a martyr alongside his fellow martyrs:
We mourn the great national leader, the Mujahid Martyr Brother Yahya Al-Sinwar (Abu Ibrahim), Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Commander of Al-Aqsa Flood Battle
He rose as a heroic martyr, advancing and never retreating, wielding his weapon, engaging and confronting the occupation army at the frontlines. He moved between all combat positions, steadfast and stationed on the honored land of Gaza, defending the land of Palestine and its holy sites, inspiring the spirit of endurance, patience, steadfastness, and resistance.
Our great people, our Arab and Islamic nations, and the free people of the world:
The martyred leader Yahya Al-Sinwar lived as a mujahid, and from his youth, he carved his path within the ranks of Hamas, engaging in its resistance operations. During 23 years of imprisonment, he triumphed over the zionist jailer. After his release in the Wafa al-Ahrar deal, he continued his contributions, planning and fighting until his eyes witnessed, on October 7, 2023, the day of the great flood that shook the depths of the entity, exposing the fragility of its supposed security. The heroic epics of our people and the valor of our victorious resistance followed, until he attained the highest rank and the noblest medal, ascending as a witness and a martyr, content with the jihad and sacrifice he offered.
The martyr leader Yahya Al-Sinwar followed in the footsteps of great martyred leaders, including the founding martyr Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Dr. Abdelaziz Al-Rantisi, Al-Maqadmeh, Abu Shanab, Jamal Mansour, Jamal Saleem, the martyred leader Ismail Haniyeh, and his deputy Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, along with the caravan of martyrs from all our leaders and people. We affirm that these sacrifices will continue to illuminate our path and drive us to more resilience and steadfastness. Hamas remains committed to the promise of its founding leaders and martyrs until the aspirations of our people are fully realized: the complete liberation and return, and the establishment of the Palestinian state on the entire national soil with Al-Quds as its capital, by Allah’s will. This will become a curse upon the invading occupiers who are strangers to this land.
Our great people, our Arab and Islamic nations, and the free people of the world:
The martyrdom of Brother Leader Yahya Al-Sinwar, along with all the leaders and icons of the movement who preceded him on the path of honor, martyrdom, and the project of liberation and return, will only strengthen Hamas and our resistance, making us more determined and steadfast in following their path, honoring their blood and sacrifices. A movement that offers its leaders and members as martyrs in defense of the rights of its people is a noble, genuine movement deeply rooted in its people.
🟢 Hamas (2/2):
—
To those lamenting the captured occupiers held by the resistance, we say: they will not return except with the cessation of aggression on Gaza, its withdrawal, and the release of our heroic prisoners from the occupation’s jails.
We continue in the path of Hamas, and the spirit of Al-Aqsa Flood will remain a living flame in the hearts of our people.
We remain faithful to your pledge, Abu Ibrahim, and your banner will never fall but will remain high and proudly raised.
Peace be upon you, Abu Ibrahim, the humble, devout, and pious man.
Peace be upon you, the prisoner.
Peace be upon you, the fighter.
Peace be upon you, the martyr.
Peace be upon you, for history will record that you wrote the first line in the war of liberation and the end of the occupation.
May Allah have mercy on you and grant you the highest place in paradise with the prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs, and the righteous, and what excellent companions they are.
And it is a jihad of victory or martyrdom

Of a platoon of 30 soldiers called for their 11th deployment in Gaza, only 6 showed up.
Hamas repeatedly sets traps in building that have already been cleared, and soldiers feel their task is impossible/pointless. The seemingly endless conflict is the primary reason for the loss of morale.
Many platoons are lacking in manpower due either to physical or mental injury
Problems were occuring before the incursion into Lebanon, reportedly for months now. IDF goon quote: "I don't know with what army they think will enter Lebanon, because there is no army. I'm not going back to the battalion." Another says "We’re sitting ducks in a shooting range. We don’t understand what we’re doing here...The hostages aren’t coming back, and it just feels never-ending—soldiers are getting injured and dying along the way. It all seems pointless."
Israeli government is not prosecuting people that refuse to show up. Internally, the IDF shames/humiliates deserters but ultimately lets them go.
At least some soldiers are being fined for lost/damaged equipment.
There are a lot more quotes from soldiers in the article. Assuming the article isn't totally fabricated or something, the IDF is facing a Vietnam-esque situation, except that all their soldiers are close to home and can just leave. An invasion of Lebanon seems extremely unlikely at this point - other than Israel randomly lashing out with air strikes, the status quo probably isn't going anywhere.
Lt.Col Daksa was the head in charge of the operation in Jabalia. He and his team arrived to the camp to gather intelligence from the field before Hamas blew up his military vehicle
There are others dead. Some senior officers were with him in the vehicle
a more "positive" video. As good as we are going to get from the humanitarian disaster that is the war in Ukraine I guess. Ukrainian women confront military recruiters trying to kidnap men for the war and load them into a white van, and almost tip it over, before the recruiters flee and the van is pelted with a few rocks.
Can't believe we're at the stage of trying to kidnap men into unmarked vans to continue the war. It's comically evil. The acts of bravery by the women trying to prevent the kidnapping of their sons, husbands, fathers and brothers gives me just a tiny bit of hope though. Humanity is not dead, not yet at least.
The "North Korean troops heading to Ukraine" story is such an absolute mess. None of the sources agree on the number of troops, their mission, where they currently are, or whether they are actually soldiers instead of civilian engineers.
And then there's the possibility that there are no such troops, and NATO/Ukraine are being racist to Buryats.
Normality in Cuba as the Island's government works to solve the electricity disconnection.
Cuba suffers a total blackout and announces an 'energy emergency'. The Cuban electricity company announces that “there is no set time for total restoration”.
On Friday morning (18), Cuba's electricity system suffered a “total disconnection” that left the country without power. The massive blackout occurred after the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant, the most important in the country, broke down causing an “unforeseen exit” from its functions, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
In a brief message on social media, President Miguel Díaz-Canel stated that the country's authorities are “giving absolute priority to the attention and solution of this highly sensitive energy contingency for the nation”, guaranteeing that “there will be no rest until it is restored”.
The collapse at the Antonio Guiteras thermoelectric plant comes at a dramatic time, just hours after the government declared on national television that the country is in an “energy emergency”.
I have a theory that thanks to the precedent Israel has handed western governments, if George Floyd-style rebellions ever broke out again people will be gunned down in droves, not just beatings, mass round ups, or maiming with "sub-lethal" rounds but straight up firing squads and police bombs with mass use of armed drones sniping people which will be blamed on "gang/outside agitator violence"
The NYC Mayor Eric Adams corruption story is so dumb annd funny and somehow just keeps getting funnier. He’s been fundraising to pay for his legal defense (lol) and has basically run out of money to keep his legal defense going (lmao). A ton of his team for his regular job as mayor resigned and now he’s short staffed there too.
According to Hezbollah, around 55 Israeli soldiers have been killed in clashes since the start of the invasion last month, while more than 500 have been wounded.
They also claim to have destroyed 20 Merkava tanks, four military bulldozers and two drones.
“According to the Resistance leadership, the operations room announces the move to a new phase of escalation in the confrontation,” which will become clearer in the coming days, he added.
Trump just dancing probably did more to improve his campaign than him actually getting shot lol. Meanwhile Kamala goes to Joe Rogan and still comes out as the most generic dem politician ever to exist.
If it's true he's dead, an absolute hero and a symbol for the resistance shines brighter than ever; after life spent in hiding he's now out in the open and adding more fire to the hearts of the fighters.
If it's a lie, then this might be the best possible scenario for an "if you come for the king you best not miss."
I kneel before Sinwar, the entire resistance seen him fight to the last moment along his men.
And indeed Israel's bank of low-risk high-award targets is shrinking, they will eventually reach a point where all the targets are Iranian.
Two days ago there was an interview with a high-ranking former IRGC official who was part of committee responsible for acquiring, building and modernizing weapons. He said:
No country is empty-handed. We have equipment that is far superior to nuclear bombs. The request of honorable parliamentarians to change the nuclear doctrine is right, but they do not know some matters, because not everyone knows these matters. These information are confidential, completely confidential. We can't reveal many things and the day may not be known. But if one day a direct war happens or the Americans enter directly, then they can and will understand. I will just point out and give a hint; when Trump wanted to reduce our oil exports to zero, some tactical operations happened.
I don't want to say who did it. But five oil tankers exploded in the port of Fujairah. What exploded? If it was in the sea, a torpedo would have hit them or gunboats, unknown boats or drones would have hit them. But they were hit in Fujairah port, which is almost the most secure port. They don't even know where they were hit. Two oil tankers were also attacked in the Oman Sea, when the Prime Minister of Japan came to Iran as Trump's envoy. By the way, both tankers were Japanese.
The first actual evidence of North Korean troops being present in Russia has just been released, with a video showing soliders speaking what sounds like Korean, and getting outfitted with Russian military gear likely in the far east of Russia, near the border with the DPRK. I wonder what will happen with these troops, are they in Russia just for military drills, or will they be deployed to the front lines.
I think if they do end up on the front lines (which seems more likely as time passes), it is a negative signal for stability in the Korean peninsula, and shows that the DPRK are preparing for war and want battlefield experience in a modern conflict. This would likely be in response to the military escalation by the ROK, who unveiled the gigantic bunker buster Hyunmoo-5 IRBM, a missile the weight and size of an ICBM, but with a range of only 3000km, while simultaneously flying drones over Pyongyang this month. The message is clear. This is a first strike weapon designed to take out the leadership of the DPRK in a decapitation strike, and the ROK can track them with surveillance drones.
The DPRK's reaction to this massive escalation in the media has been to deny the effectiveness of this weapon and call it useless, but to me the actions taken by the DPRK in response (stating that reunification is not possible, blowing up roads connecting to the ROK, artillery on high alert) show that they think the opposite with regards to this escalation. If North Korean troops end up fighting in Kursk or Ukraine, it would be one further sign that the DPRK are preparing for war and improving their combat readiness.
DPRK promises to retaliate against ROK for having a drone violate DPRK airspace. DRPK usually ends a press statement like "if ROK/US continues, we will retaliate" or like "we're warning you, please don't do this again". This press statement is different in that the conclusion is a direct promise. The tone is changed. "The provocateurs will have to pay a dear price."
Press Statement of Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK
Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, issued the following press statement on Tuesday:
We secured clear evidence that the ROK military gangsters are the main culprit of the hostile provocation of violating the sovereignty of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea by intruding into the sky over its capital city.
The provocateurs will have to pay a dear price. -0- www.kcna.kp (Juche113.10.15.)
Phyllis Bennis, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies and international adviser to Jewish Voice for Peace, told Al Jazeera the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar will not lead to a ceasefire in Gaza.
“There has been a path to a ceasefire all along and it has to start with the US ending its shipment of arms that enables the war to continue,” Bennis told Al Jazeera.
“I don’t think that there is going to be any change if Blinken goes to the region or if Biden calls Netanyahu. None of that really matters. Their words don’t matter if their actions don’t change and if the actions continue to be sending Israel all of the weapons that they require to enable this war, this genocide to continue,” Bennis said.
“There is no reason in the world that they should see the death of one more Hamas leader – this time Yahya Sinwar – as a change. The war has been against the entire population of Gaza not against one man,” she said.
Since it's been one year on since the Gaza War started, I decided to look at some defense stocks to see how profitable the genocide machine has actually been. Overall, it seems pretty profitable for the companies with relevant weapons and supplies for the war at this stage, but if I was a vampire capitalist and just threw my money into defense as soon as I thought war demand was coming I'd be pretty disappointed at the outcome so far. One year in NVIDIA outperforms all of them by a ton, and the S&P 500 keeps pace in the middle of the pack.
Raytheon (+70.05% 1 YR) is the best performer by far. It makes sense since the Iron Dome missiles are made by them. They are making a whole new facility in Arkansas for the purpose of making more of these things that won't be online until 2025, apparently. Whose to say whether the entity known as Israel will even last that long but hey, that just means money in Raytheon's pockets.
Caterpillar (+47.03% 1 YR) a construction company that makes bulldozers for the IOF, so it's part of the genocide machine obvs. Recently they've been downgraded by Morgan Stanley so we'll see if this keeps up.
L3Harris Technologies (+39.97% 1 YR) military helicopters and aircraft electronics. Great year for them, Oct 7 represents the bottom of a 2 year losing streak for them.
Lockheed Martin (+38.14% 1 YR) has a sudden jolt right around the time the US authorized the production of more F-35s. It also happens to be the week where Netanyahu visited the US Congress. Below I have a photo of other companies that have a little jolt around that time as well.
General Dynamics (+23.92% 1 YR) naval and communications. The stock seems to have been doing well before Oct 7 though so IDK.
And some losers...
Boeing (-19.49% 1 YR) you know why. But you could have sold when the news was still breaking and done well for yourself.
Elbit Systems (-0.56% 1 YR) they make drones and they made the Gaza wall defense towers that got owned on Oct 7. Israel doesn't care for defending its citizens right now because genocide but they seem to be pivoting towards the genocide business judging by the swing towards profitability recently.
Democrats increasingly suspect Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to interfere in U.S. domestic politics by ignoring President Biden’s calls to negotiate a peace deal in Gaza and by confronting Hezbollah and Iran weeks before the U.S. election.
The fate of the free world lies in the hands of the these fucking people. Most important election of our lifetime. Not impressed? Well guess who else is on board: Dick Cheney!
This had to be kayfabe, right? How could they not know this from the start? Can they actually be this guillible?
Where is Punxsutawney Phil when you need him? Instead of these grotesque media campaigns, each swing state should just have 50/50 pagan ritual involving cute critters to decide the electoral winner.
Bit idea: Tell the libs in your life that you agree with them that the Ukraine war has to end and that "it is possible that Russia has made mistakes". Tell them you support a two-state solution that guarantees Russian security.
In Ecuador, the country is in flames and without electricity, while the president was in the US on a yacht, dancing with his wife and other rich people.
According to Telegram resistance may have just drone striked Bibi's house, tons of cops there and media has been shut out, it's not clear if he was home tho
This is the 1488th comment in this thread ugh
According to israhell pm office he wasn't home :( But it doesn't matter. We only have to be lucky once.
Apparently the IOF cut off Sinwar's index finger, ostensibly "to check his identity". There's a video, but I'm not gonna link it.
First off, isn't that considered desecration of a corpse and therefore a war crime?
Second, isn't that also kind of a religious hate crime? Raising the index finger has significance in Islam, no? (I am not Muslim, please fact check me)
"Tel Aviv’s" forces, under the so-called ‘General’s Plan,’ recently launched an operation to expel the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who remain in northern Gaza and turn the entirety of the area into a military zone.
Germany reportedly asked Israel to sign a 'genocide clause'
On 13 October 2024, German newspaper BILD reported in an exclusive (behind a paywall) that Germany asked the Israeli government to sign a so-called ‘genocide clause’ as a precondition for further arms deliveries. This clause apparently contained a written assurance from the Israeli government that German arms will not be used to commit genocide. The document is said to have arrived in Berlin on 10 October and allowed Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz to declare in parliament the next day that "We have supplied arms, and we will supply arms".
This raises several questions:
Does this imply that the German Government shares in the suspicion that Israel is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip?
Can such an assurance absolve Germany from its responsibility under international law not to aid or assist acts of genocide?
According to official information, the restoration process of electrical system has already begun in western Cuba CTE Santa Cruz has started up and work is being done to link CTE Mariel Energás is in service and a load level is being served in Havana and Mayabeque.
In the Central zone the microsystem remains stable. CTE Guiteras is in the process of starting up. CTE Nuevitas is in the process of starting up, feeding off the Camagüey microsystem. CTE Felton and CTE Renté are further behind due to problems in the 110KV busbar at Renté.
CTE de Cienfuegos is unavailable due to a breakdown. 370 MW served in the country. There are microsystems in almost the entire country, except Artemisa. Unlike other outages, explained Lazaro Guerra, there was now less availability of fuel. This situation will gradually recover.
Oxfam condemns in the strongest terms the killing in Gaza today of four water engineers and workers from the Khuzaa municipality who were working with our strategic partner the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU).
The four men were killed on their way to conduct repairs to water infrastructure in Khuzaa, east of Khan Younis. Despite prior coordination with Israeli authorities their clearly-marked vehicle was bombed. Oxfam stands in solidarity with the CMWU, their partners and the families of the victims.
This is like the world central kitchen strike the Israelis did
Not going over the people of NATOTM countries, but some things stand out:
Armenia abstained. I guess the current regime continues to think sucking up to the West would benefit them somehow.
Argentina voted yes while Chile abstained. Imagine being somehow worse than Milei's regime.
Côte d'voire, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, and Senegal abstaining just shows everyone where the new front against the AES is located at. Senegal is especially revealing since a lot of people were hyping them for being a progressive force. Even Nigeria voted yes.
Fiji just shamelessly licking the boots of their US masters for the entire world to see.
Hezbollah released a new video showing the drone side of their operations yesterday.
The video starts in a warehouse showcasing dozens of Ababil-T and Shahed 101 attack drones. A Hezbollah soldier then picks up a piston engined and petrol/gasoline powered Shahed 101 drone, with a single radio antenna on the front. The video then cuts to the battlefield.
In the next scene, we can see Hezbollah drone operators preparing a group of Shahed 101 "suicide drones" for launch. However, there is one very big difference seen here, along with a few smaller ones. These Shahed 101 drones have electric engines and are battery powered, with the charging and data cables clearly visible. They also have a fresh coat of camouflage paint applied. This is done to reduce the chances of detection, an electronic motor has a lower heat signature than a piston engine, due to the lack of exhaust gases and cooler operation. They are also quieter, making less noise. The camouflage paint scheme is also designed to reduce detection, with a drab olive to dark green top to make the drone blend in with the ground when viewed from above, and a sliver bottom to blend in with the sky when viewed from below. The reduction in heat signature, along with a reduced visual and audio presence, makes the drone harder to detect. The drones also have no radio antenna or cameras, suggesting a one way attack approach with a pre-programmed flight path. We can see a drone operator presumably uploading flight data from his laptop using a USB interface. This makes them immune to being jammed. more difficult to jam, see discussion below.
All in all, the modifications made to the Shahed 101 drone by Hezbollah to make it harder to detect, combined with the rocket fire in a close range saturation attack to overwhelm Israeli air defences, allowed the Shahed 101 one way attack drones to carry out their attack undetected and without interception. The drones are relatively small with a small warhead, which limits targets to soft unprotected ones, like the dining hall hit yesterday.
Russian President, Vladimir Putin, says he's a friend of Brazilian President, Lula da Silva, but won't come to the G20 summit in Brazil. The Russian president has an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. As Brazil is a signatory to the treaty, it should comply with the decision.
Preventive deployment of Iraqi security forces was reported around the premises of MBC TV, a channel majority-owned by the Saudi government, following the broadcast of a report that labeled several leaders of Iraqi militias, part of the Axis of Resistance, as “terrorists,” along with leaders of Hamas including Al Deif, Haniyeh, Sinwar and even Hassan Nasrallah.
Several armed groups issued threats against the channel over these statements, and even declared Saudi Arabia as a target.
A new report by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee highlights how Donald Trump's hotel charged the Secret Service rates up to 300% or more above the authorized federal government rates.
The US Secret Service lost about a fifth of its experienced agents by 2024, with the remaining personnel overworked, underpaid, improperly educated, and without the newest technology, The New York Times reported.
The attempt on Trump's life "revealed deep problems in the Secret Service," ranging from a lack of technology to "failures in command" and communication. For example, the Butler shooter researched the site with a drone, but the protective detail lacked one and their radios did not function correctly.
The major training site is so "decrepit" that it frequently floods after heavy rains, according to the NYT.
Meanwhile, a plan to compensate for attrition by rehiring recently departed agents failed catastrophically, as agents raced to retire early so they could get both a pension and an income while avoiding serving in the field where bodies were most needed.
During a press conference, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O, estimated that between Monday and Tuesday, the electric system will be re-established. Over 160,000 users in Havana have access to power, according to the Minister of Energy.
Seems like most of the island power plants are online, but only the more central ones are producing energy, the eastern and western plants are only starting up. We will see, but most hospitals, hotels/resorts and goverment buildings use generators. If Joe Biden (and democrats in general) actually cared about the people in Cuba, they would have given aid to Cuba and continue the Cuban Thraw Policies that Obama started (Obama was so well received in Cuba that he literally appeared in Cuban TV and some TV Shows as a special guest).
But no, Biden will continue to pressure Cuba and Venezuela, and continue to give support to Gusanos, people that not only doesn't vote democrat, but are openly strong supporters of Republicans. Meanwhile, they throw Haitians, Mexicans, Central Americans and South Americans in prison camps to appeal for people that will never vote for them.
Failed "assassination" "attempt" on the king of Morocco, his convoy got hit by the worst most pathetic molotov cocktail I have ever seen like wow it was bad
Moldova getting integrated into the imperial structures even more will be a disaster for its population. Moldova is already embargoing Pridnistrovie (Transnistria is the name proposed by the Romanian invaders when they conquered the region.) which makes it incredibly hard for the people living there in that small enclave. Moldova needs to "fix" it's "problem" in Pridnistrovie to join NATO and EU which means to destroy it passively or actively. Even if the pro EU cucks are in charge which want Romania to annex Moldova, majority of the population is opposed even with their 24/7 propaganda about Russian influence and how Moldova needs to "unite" with Romania.
Now, obviously I don't support the EU or western interests expanding, but, and this may be chauvinist brainworms,I do believe Moldova's future
Moldova was never "romanian" this is Great Romania chauvinist brainworms indeed. Moldova was its own thing dating back to the 1400s or earlier, even sources adopted by Romanian historiographers admit this.
Either us or Russia
Romania had a committee for the romanianization and colonization of Moldova:
Translation: Directorate of Romanianization, Colonization and Inventory
Again, this is the only point where I believe Romania's interests should align with the west
The same rhetoric was used in WW2 that Romania was to ally with Nazi germany to "gain back Moldova". We saw where the Great Romania rhetoric has lead.
If the EU project can limp along enough for us to practically reunite before it dies,I'd see that as a win.
The EU wants to Romania to "unite" with Moldova so it can exploit Moldova through the Romanian state apparatus this is not something you should be praising.
Moldova is sacked by the western imperialists already and the president must push out constant propaganda to make the people not rebel against her and by promising hopes and dreams of a better future via the EU when it will result in mass privatizations and brain drain and etc even worse than now.
it'll probably become a Romanian appendage, which I'm not opposed to
Why are you wishing for capitalist Romania to annex a sovreign nation in the name of "unity"? This is all Great Country brainworms.
The video you have linked is produced by a pro EU shitlib rag:
Ziarul de Gardă also won the Delegation of the European Union in the "Media against disinformation disinformation'. Fact proved - investigations journalistic investigations are the best cure against corruption and disinformation. Throughout the year, ZdG has deconstructed and uncovered falsehoods and myths who and how much they spend on disinformation and encouraged the community readers to think critically
It is LITERALLY sponsored by the NED/CIA and USAID and the US embassy:
Please stop spreading "Moldova is Romania" talking points that only fascists use, especially to people not familiar with the history of the region.
edit:
Basically what you're saying already happened,so they wouldn't see a drop in quality of life, like then, because they are already gutted
Yes it would see a drop in quality of life due to EU pillaging and NATO occupation and turn it against BRICS/Russia even more so it becomes ingrained with Europe.
"Moldova got already sacked by the West so it won't get any worse if they join western power structures!"
Incredible, even the US Congress now admits that Australia will probably not get the AUKUS submarines. And they propose an alternative that achieves the feat of being even far worse than AUKUS (which was already a terrible deal).
In a new report (which you can find here: crsreports.congress.gov/prod…) the US Congressional Research Service admits that the country's industrial base is very far from achieving the target of building 2.33 submarines per year needed to build replacement submarines for those sold to Australia: in fact the rate is currently only "1.2 to 1.4".
Given this, they actually propose to just forgo the sale of submarines entirely (!) and go for an alternative approach where the US deploys US submarines manned by the US Navy to Australia instead: "up to eight additional Virginia-class SSNs would be built, and instead of three to five of them being sold to Australia, these additional boats would instead be retained in U.S. Navy service and operated out of Australia."
But since they don't want to miss out on the Australian money meant for the subs, they conveniently propose that Australia instead spends it on other US military products: "Australia, instead of using funds to purchase, build, operate, and maintain its own SSNs, would instead invest those funds in other military capabilities—such as, for example, long-range anti-ship missiles, drones, loitering munitions, B-21 long-range bombers, or other long-range strike aircraft".
All this for the purpose of "performing military missions for both Australia and the United States".
So essentially, from Australia's standpoint, the new deal would mean:
Zero control over the submarines operated on its territory since it'd all be manned by the U.S. Navy
Australia still spends a similar eyewatering amount of money ($368 billion) on US military equipment that is mostly "long-range": "long-range anti-ship missiles", "B-21 long-range bombers", "long-range strike aircraft". Meaning by definition not used for the defense of Australia but undoubtedly to attack China. Which is pretty clear: China is mentioned 44 times in the document...
This US military equipment is to be used, as per the document, to "perform military missions for both Australia and the United States" which is extremely unusual: militaries normally don't perform missions FOR another military. Allied countries might perform missions alongside each other or in support of each other, but not explicitly "for" each other.
How could Australia possibly justify such a deal to its public? AUKUS was already, according to former Australian PM Paul Keating the “worst deal in all history” because it'd "turn Australia into the 51st state of the United States", but this new proposal would strip away even the illusion of Australian sovereignty.
China has announced that military exercises around Taiwan, which were revealed this morning, have now ended. They involved 125 Chinese military aircraft. Chinese troops were practicing blockading the island. The exercises took place four days after Taiwan President Lai Qingde said he would resist Beijing's "annexation" of the island
The vassalization of Europe is now complete. The Ukraine war has succeeded in turning Europe away from China as an export market, and towards the US. In other words, Europe now depends on the US for security, energy and its consumer market.
This is to be expected because Europe now needs to earn dollars to pay for its energy bill, and to earn dollars you gotta sell stuff to Americans. America gets free stuff from a dependent Europe simply by starting a war between Ukraine and Russia.
Just watched footage of some of the Ukrainian infantry retreats from Kursk. It consists of dozens of infantrymen running through open fields while being bombed by drones and motars. It's like a scene from a movie. Somehow, some of them survived. Hell on earth...
I am really trying not to doom, but by all accounts Israel’s plan is to seal off the north of Gaza and starve everyone who lives there; then functionally annex the north (at least) into Israel. The end result, if successful, would be the deaths of tens if not hundreds of thousands and another big chunk of their own land taken from the Palestinians.
Is there any way these deaths can be prevented? I know Hamas has not weakened at all in the last year and they are fighting hard in the north as we speak, but there’s a limited amount of time to get the IOF out of north Gaza and get more food (and fighters) in.
17 martyrs and 182 wounded were reported as a result of the IOF's attacks on Lebanon yesterday, Tuesday, bringing the toll since October 8th, 2023 to 2,367 martyrs and 11,088 wounded. Since dawn today, 17 additional martyrs and about 100 wounded have been reported so far.
In the Gaza Strip, 65 martyrs and 140 wounded were reported yesterday, while at least 15 additional martyrs (half of them children) have ascended due to IOF airstrikes since dawn today.
Ukrainian guys in Kursk (brave guys tbh, I don't know how they even motivate those guys now that the chance of success is less than 1%)
Telegram comments (a strange mix of incredibly based dudes, 1930s antisemites, unemployed turboposters and weirdly a lot of Spanish-speakers)
NAFO nerds (either exposed as a pedophile, or coping in the darkest corners of Elon's X)
Zelensky (another downgrade, his tour in the US and Europe was horribly unsuccessful and it's seems kinda joever)
Hamas, PIJ, Qassam, PFLP and all the people and resistance groups in Gaza (Allah's bravest soliders)
Spain and Ireland (the only non-cucked EU nations)
North Korean National Football Team (stole a valuable point from the satanic UAE, not very good though sadly)
American pro-Israel "activists" (these people are so pathetic and reek of such loser vibes that they're a laughing stock wherever they go)
The entire nation of Saudi Arabia (what a waste that Mecca and Madinah is located in a nation that is so cucked on all levels, Palestine and Lebanon are burning next to them while they only care about football and concerts)
Hezbollah and Iran (owned the Zios hard in every single way in the last few weeks)
Ansarallah (still undefeated, although I miss some of their lil mischief with the missiles to Tel Aviv and attacking random ships)
Arab Gulf states (very cucked existence actually, but they finally showed some backbone recently in refusing to let Israel use their airspace vs Iran
Sunni islamists (except a few prinicipled ones, this whole group have proved to be nothing but ultra cucks for the interests of America who would rather accept Israel than Iran)
Lebanese Maronite nationalists (cheering on Israel against fellow Lebanese people because they turbo-cuck so hard for the West)
Hassan Nasrallah (the GOAT of the resistance, the man I indirectly named my son after, even in death he still frightens the Zionists)
Ali Khamenei (promised to shake the Zionists, and he did although a bit late, the only Muslim leader that I trust these days)
Donald Trump (back into front-runner status by literally doing nothing, all the assassins comically fail, he just keeps doing his WWE promos and it works because Kamala is so flat)
Kamala Harris (fumbled the momentum, is now doing weed and crypto programs to attract black men wtf)
Olaf Scholz (will go down in history as one of the biggest imperial cucks that the world has seen)
Argentina saw a 22.3% drop in consumption in September compared to the previous year. This drop, the biggest in ten years, includes basic items such as food, drinks and cosmetics. Milei's “economic adjustment” policy is seen as the main factor.
The austerity measures adopted by Javier Milei's government have exacerbated the loss of purchasing power in Argentina, with inflation outstripping wage adjustments. The discontinuation of the “Fair Prices” program, created under the previous administration, has intensified the fall in consumption and the economic challenges.
Despite the 6.6% wage increase in July, inflation of 4% continues to erode earnings. In August, the situation worsened, with inflation outstripping wages.
A novel written by Yahya Sinwar that describes his time within the occupation prisons during his imprisonment, delves into his psyche, and highlights his transformation into a figure of significant influence, shaped by his experiences and the shared suffering of his people.
This is not my personal story, nor is it the story of any particular individual, although all its events are real. Each event, or each set of events, pertains to this or that Palestinian. The only fiction in this work is its transformation into a novel revolving around specific characters, to fulfill the form and requirements of a novelistic work. Everything else is real; I have lived it, and much of it I have heard from the mouths of those who themselves, their families, and their neighbors have experienced it over decades on the beloved land of Palestine.
I dedicate this to those whose hearts cling to the land of Isra and Mi'raj, from the ocean to the Gulf, indeed, from ocean to ocean.
The defi lending protocol Tapioca DAO was exploited after an attacker reportedly socially engineered the DAO's co-founder and gain access to their private key. The attacker then used their access to sell off TAP tokens, and to drain a stablecoin liquidity pool on the platform, netting around $4.4 million in USDC and ETH. The TAP token price subsequently crashed by around 96%.
Various security researchers have observed that the attack appears to be linked to a slew of social engineering attacks perpetrated by cybercriminals out of North Korea.
The B-2 Spirit stealth bomber aircraft that were first photographed in the sub-imperialist UAE over 9 months ago, have carried out their first attacks against Yemen. The bombings have been confirmed by both Western and Yemeni media. The airstrikes were aimed at several underground Ansarallah weapons storage and bunker facilities, with the US claiming five attacks, and Ansarallah claiming 6 attacks in the capital Saana, and 2 attacks in Saada. The use of stealth B-2 bomber aircraft for this mission was overkill for evading Yemeni air defence systems, this has been done to send a message, and the intended recipient is made clear by US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin's statement:
“This was a unique demonstration of the United States’ ability to target facilities that our adversaries seek to keep out of reach, no matter how deeply buried underground, hardened or fortified.” Austin said.
In other words: This is a warning shot across the bow towards Iran.
The B-2A Spirit aircraft is the only aircraft in the US fleet that can carry the 30 000+lb (14 000kg) "bunker buster' GBU-57 MOP (Massive Ordinance Penetrator) bomb, with each aircraft being able to carry two of these bombs, or 16 2000lb bunker buster BLU-109 bombs. The GBU-57 is the largest non nuclear bunker buster bomb in the world. Here is a video of the B-2 dropping two of them. The GBU-57 is designed to penetrate over 200ft/60+m of reinforced concrete, and is accurate enough to be daisy chained, with one bomb following the other to target the same area.
Nathanial Bronze calls it even just now with his prediction thingie
This is roughly a week after the betting market was dead even so there probably is a short lag due to Nate relying on polls, this doesn't come as a shock to anyone but it is really not looking good for Kamala from here on out.
Recently, Bolsonaro supporters got angry at Lula da Silva because his government gave a medal to Xuxa Meneghel (famous children's entertainer and actress, pretty sure she did support Lula in 2022 too) and his wife, Rosangela da Silva (Her nickname is Janja), for encouraging children to get vaccinated and some pro-mental health stuff. It's very funny that they get upset about this, while Bolsonaro himself gave medals to literal neo-Nazis and people who were related to actual Nazis.
So far, more than 6.6 million people have voted in the US elections. In Pennsylvania, 631,000 people have already voted, with the majority of counties voting Democratic.
Georgia, considered a pendulum state, has just reached 10% of the 2020 election vote in just 2 days of early voting. Fulton County (a Democratic stronghold) is the county with the most votes cast so far.
Hello newsmega heads, I have a question. Has the USA declined in absolute power since the 90s, or just in relative power? Is it's ability to wage war, maintain alliance and influence other countries less than what it used to be, or does it just face more resistance?

Israel eyes Somaliland base bid to counter threats from Yemen's Houthis, bolster security - report. Somaliland is positioned in the Gulf of Aden and near the entrance to the Bab al-Mandab Strait, through which nearly a third of the world's maritime cargo passes.
Israel is interested in establishing a military base in northern Somalia in order to keep tabs on Yemen and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, Middle East Monitor, the Qatari state-funded news site reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, in exchange, Israel would establish relations with Somaliland, which controls northern Somalia but is not currently recognized by Israel.
Middle East Monitor noted that Somaliland is geographically strategic. It is a former British colony that borders Ethiopia, Somalia, and Djibouti. Somaliland was considered an autonomous region of Somalia that declared independence in 1991.
Somaliland is positioned in the Gulf of Aden and near the entrance to the Bab al-Mandab Strait, through which nearly a third of the world's maritime cargo passes.
Somaliland has 740 kilometres of coastline along the Gulf of Aden and could play a key role in safeguarding the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Red Sea from piracy, terrorism, and smuggling, Middle East Monitor wrote.
Various international shipping companies have grown hesitant to charter merchant vessels through the Bab al-Mandab Strait due to attacks by Yemen's Houthis, disrupting global trade and triggering multinational naval action.
Traders are scrambling to find alternative shipping routes to get consumer goods to retailers, with journeys around Africa adding roughly 10 days to voyage times.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced in late 2023 the establishment of Operation Prosperity Guardian, a new multinational security initiative involving key countries such as the UK, France, the US, and Italy.
Securing Israel from afar
According to the report, Israel seeks to enhance its national security from afar and challenge the Houthis presence in Yemen, along with other potential economic opportunities that could be spurred from diplomatic relations.
Potential economic opportunities include growing investments in agriculture, energy, and infrastructure. Israel's historic success in agriculture and knowledge of this field, such as its kibbutz model, could be used to leverage and secure a military base in Somaliland, Middle East Monitor stated.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ties with both Israel and Somaliland and has maintained a base in Somaliland since 2017. The UAE was one of the first countries in the region to recognize the Republic of Somaliland and has invested in the area, Middle East Monitor wrote.
The UAE is mediating on behalf of Israel to establish a military base in Somaliland, Middle East Monitor reported, citing diplomatic sources that could not be verified.
I think Israel used to support Eritrea to attack Yemen, but it seems Eritreia broke their relations with Israel recently.
It’s pretty funny how Bukele keeps trying to show he’s one of the good Palestinians by calling Hamas “savage beasts” and playing up his Evangelical Christianity.
The prosecutor also said that the Brazilian president “is not the same. I met him in the Orinoco oil belt when I was governor of Anzoátegui, with Chávez. He is not the same compared to the one who founded and organized the labor movements of Brazil,” said Saab during an interview at Globovisión this Sunday, October 13.
australia puts another target on its back, asks you don't look at the target
The Department of Defence has confirmed Australia provided support for the US strikes on underground bunkers used by Yemen's Houthi rebels "through access and overflight for US aircraft in northern Australia".
The ABC understands air-to-air refuelling aircraft were part of the mission, although the defence department has declined to confirm.
"We obviously are part of a global effort to make sure that terrorists are not able to interdict free trade, are not able also to threaten the lives of Australians or indeed Australia's interest around the world," he said.
"So of course we work with our allies and our partners to achieve that aim."
Mr Gosling said there are "no deliberate messages being sent from Australia, other than we are in lock-step with our allies in order to uphold a rules-based order upon which Australia's security and prosperity is so dependent".
In October 2022, Four Corners revealed that the US Air Force would build a "squadron operations facility" at RAAF Tindal air base, south of Darwin.
Two US B-2 bombers landed at Amberley Air Force Base near Brisbane in August, according to a post on X from an account calling itself the Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
Whiteman is where the US Air Force bases its fleet of B-2 bombers, which is believed to number 19 operational warplanes, according to the New York Times.

Zionazi soldiers are documented hovering over a child they shot in Al-Aroub camp, #AlKhalil after they obstructed medical crews from reaching him.
Two other children have also been wounded by zionist bullets in the camp.

The war against Putin's Asiatic hordes is fought on many fronts. In Copenhagen, a Liberal Party alderman has proposed to annul the Russian embassy's right to use 23 public owned parking spaces as a way of harassing diplomatic staff and to virtue signal the car brain credentials of the local Liberal Party. The proposal has however been shot down by Denmark's Moderate Party-controlled ministry of foreign affairs, citing diplomatic considerations.
Someone (possibly an anti-fascist partisan) shot to death Gennady Beybutyan near Odessa, a local oligarch involved in the Kiev regime’s military conscription. He led the so-called “Law Enforcement Assistance Unit” that attacked accused draft evaders:

Is it me or have the Dems just gone totally mask-off in recent months? Like they were obviously complicit in the genocide before, but they seem to just be fully onboard with genocide and war with Iran now. I guess this is just more posturing for the election, sort of like how they approach the border issue now.
And you know what? Maybe it'll pay off for them. It seems we're in a period of this sort of resignation to barbarism now. Maybe people will embrace fascism with woke characteristics. I certainly have no faith in my fellow Americans. Sure, maybe some polls show opposition to Israel, and there were (emphasis on were) some impressive protests, but what did they accomplish in the end? Americans don't think that deeply about these things anyway. If it does come to war with Iran, you know most Americans will fall in line like the bloodthirsty little hicks they are. They are an eternally pissed off people who love to feel vicariously badass by blowing up those damn Muzzzlums. You certainly won't see any mass protests against an Iran war. Even liberals accept the idea of Iran as being the ultimate bad guy, or a henchman of Putler's Russia. It'll be 2003 all over again - first as tragedy, then as farce, then as farce, then as farce, then as farce....
Plus maybe it'd shake off the malaise that seems to have set it.
Everything is so fucked. I guess this is history, though. Entire peoples can just be wiped out, unjust wars are waged and framed as heroic adventures, and in a thousand years none of it will fucking matter.
Brazilian President Lula da Silva falls in the bathroom of the presidential palace and is taken to the Syrian Lebanese Hospital. The President of the Republic hit his head and, on medical advice, canceled his trip to Russia for the BRICS summit.
Lula's doctor says the president had head trauma, “but everything is fine”. In an interview with CNN, Dr. Roberto Kalil said that CT and MRI scans had been carried out, which showed a small amount of bleeding in the front of Lula's head. He will be under observation for the next few days.
Lula was treated at the Syrian-Lebanese Hospital with a cut on the back of his head; doctors recommend avoiding long trips, but he can keep to his normal schedule. Foreign Minister to lead Brazilian delegation to Russia during BRICS summit Mauro Vieira, who was already going to be part of the delegation, was appointed to head it after Lula canceled his trip to Kazan.
I have seen some people saying this was probably an excuse, so Lula wouldn't have to meet with Putin and anger too much the US. But anyway, I am glad Lula is doing alright.
Now U.S. imperialism is quite powerful, but in reality it isn't. It is very weak politically because it is divorced from the masses of the people and is disliked by everybody and by the American people too.
Is this true? I thought last we checked the average amerikkkan was big into genocide and such. Would be nice to see a bit of humanity from them. Was the perception different in the 50s?
Algeria and mauritania sign military cooperation protocol.
Interesting to note that at the same time morocco bombed mauritanian civilians in the liberated territories of western Sahara and just recently unveiled a drone developed with the help of the entity.
Morocco took the habit since normalization to bomb civilians from other nations in western Sahara as a response.
North Korea is now effectively joining the war against Ukraine, Zelensky said. "The DPRK is actively joining the war on the side of the Russian Federation. According to the GUR, Russia has plans for the fall and winter that take into account support from the DPRK," he said.
Colonization was a barbaric event that the Europeans continue to endorse and claim as a civilizing process. On Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that his country would demand reparations from Spain for the looting, plundering, and enslavement of Indigenous peoples.
“Venezuela, together with a group of Latin American countries, wants to make a profound claim for Spain to pay reparations for the theft, the looting of our lands, and the slavery and suffering endured by our Indigenous and African ancestors,” he said.
“532 years ago, the process of resistance against colonialism and slavery began. Colonialism left a legacy of nazism and fascism. None of the colonizers, however, have apologized so far,” Maduro said.
“They hide behind the ideology of denialism. From Spain, this barbaric event is endorsed and claimed as a civilizing process,” the Bolivarian leader added and emphasized that the invasion of Indigenous peoples by the Spanish explorer Christopher Columbus was a criminal and abusive act.
During the “Con Maduro +” TV program, the Venezuelan president also reaffirmed his support for Caribbean countries that have agreed to request billions of pounds in reparations from the UK for the slave trade.
Previously, during her address to the UN General Assembly in September, Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Mottley said her country had joined the “growing chorus calling for the immediate proclamation of a second decade” to complete the unfinished work and address the issue of reparations for colonialism.
Recently, Mexico also reminded Spain that it is still waiting for an apology for the crimes committed during colonialism.
Update with information from the fedshit I posted before. Might be iffy info tbh but the rumour mill is churning and this is the closest to possibly-correct information I've found on what might be happening out there.
🇰🇷❌🇰🇵❗️ — South Korean forces on Yeonpyeong Island have been placed on alert as unusual movements have been detected at North Korean coastal artillery positions.
➡️ There has also been a sudden withdrawal of Chinese fishing boats from the waters near the island.
➡️ Days ago, South Korean media reported that, exactly as reported by North Korean State Media KCNA, as of 8:00 PM on the 13th, it had switched eight artillery brigades in forward areas to a “fire standby” posture.
➡️ These eight artillery brigades were ordered to be fully armed, and it is known that over 700 170mm long-range artillery pieces, 240mm multiple rocket launchers, 300mm multiple rocket launchers, and the North Korean version of the KTSSM (tactical surface-to-surface guided weapon) “Hwasong-11Ra” are deployed.
➡️ This means that 700 long-range artillery pieces and multiple rocket launchers are armed and aimed at our military and key facilities, and can be used immediately if necessary.
➡️ On this day, North Korea’s coastal artillery was also captured in the open in the West Sea border area.
newsmega stay winning, 2.5 years after feb 2022 we have mainstream news reporting on the factional infighting of the ukrainian government and the influence of far right nationalists as a barrier to peace. I guess that famous video of zelensky getting sandbagged by ukrainian nationalists back in 2019/2020 when he was trying to get ukrainian militias to stop firing into the donbass actually was important after all.
it's very clear how much the story of ukraine as a western proxy aligns with the story of afghanistan as a western proxy in the 1980s. in both cases, far right marginal/not dominant elements of society are materially supported by the west with military gear/$/trianing, their message is amplified through western soft power and media channels, and they become the de facto government of the proxy. they hop in the driver's seat of the proxy in a non-democratic way, and proceed to use the proxy as a whole as a battering ram against the western enemy while placing no value on the health of the people or country of the proxy.
I guess Khaled Mashal is the new leader of Hamas. Any opinion on this guy?
Wikipedia Page
Khaled Mashal is a Palestinian politician who served as chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau from 1996 until May 2017, where he was succeeded by Ismail Haniyeh. He has also covered duties as the de facto leader of Hamas twice, from July 2024 until August 2024 and from August 2024, after both leaders was assassinated/killed by Israel. He was regarded as one of the most prominent leaders of Hamas since the death of Ahmed Yassin, alongside Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar
Israel's occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the 1967 Six-Day War forced Mashal's family to flee and he has since then lived in other parts of the Arab world in exile. For that reason, he was considered part of Hamas' "external leadership". After the founding of Hamas in the wake of the First Intifada against the Israeli occupation in 1987, Mashal became the leader of the Kuwaiti branch of the organization.
Under his leadership, Hamas secured a surprise majority of the seats in the Palestinian legislative election in 2006. He does not believe that there is a contradiction between Hamas' and religious diversity He views the goal of Hamas to be to "end the Zionist occupation; to liberate the land and the holy places; to reclaim Palestinian rights; to secure the return of the refugees to their nation, lands, and homes; and to reclaim Jerusalem." Mashal wants the future Palestinian state to be one that "is open to the world, far from fanaticism, and one that promotes tolerance and accepts all.
Mashal believes that peace with Israel requires two things: that the Palestinian refugees that fled from, or were expelled by, Israeli forces in the 1948 Israeli War of Independence in which the Jewish State was established are allowed to return and that Israel withdraws from the territories it occupied in the 1967 war. Israel has said it would never agree to let all of the refugees return. In a meeting with former U.S. president Jimmy Carter in 2008, Mashal clarified that any agreement with Israel would have to be ratified with the Palestinian people in a referendum. Mashal later suggested a 10-year-truce (hudna) if Israel withdrew to the 1967 border. He considered this a proof of recognition: "We have offered a truce if Israel withdraws to the 1967 borders, a truce of 10 years as a proof of recognition".
Mashal was a vocal critic of the Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, often refusing to follow directives issued by the PA regarding ceasefires with Israel. Mashal was considered a key force behind this policy, along with Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. However, Mashal did attend Arafat's funeral, in Cairo on 12 November 2004.
Seems like a moderate tbh. And most Westerns will ignore what he said about being against fanaticism and being pro-tolerance, and will continue to accuse Hamas of attempting to create an Islamic state in Palestine that will kill all christians and jews.
former home affairs secretary Mike Pezzullo is beanposting about being stripped of his Order of Australia honours:
"With wars underway around the world, and more likely to break out, possibly in the Pacific, with rising intolerance and anger in public debate, with many people struggling to make ends meet, and many other problems besides, being stripped of my official honour does not amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world," he said.
followed by the maddening unreality of western rhetoric:
“It’s regrettable that force and violence sometimes have to be used, but when you’ve got someone who is so determined to pursue the annihilation of another group of people sometimes it just comes down to that,” he said.
"There is simply no point in rushing to peace if all that just simply happens is the next cadre comes through, who are as well trained and have thought about how they want to continue the campaign.”
death to israel, death to australia, death to the western colonial project forever and ever amen
The Communist Party of Cuba’s account on X highlighted that “thousands of Cuban men and women are working tirelessly to restore service
Cuban authorities announced that the Energás plant, located in the province of Mayabeque, is generating electricity intended for the Santa Cruz del Norte Thermoelectric Plant. This initiative is part of efforts to address the electrical crisis following the disconnection of the National Electric System caused by the shutdown of the Antonio Guiteras thermoelectric plant.
Additionally, the Communist Party of Cuba’s account on X highlighted that “thousands of Cuban men and women are working tirelessly to restore service, a process that began at the Energás Plant in Puerto Escondido, which is already producing electricity to integrate with the thermoelectric plants.”
According to officials, the provinces of Villa Clara, Granma, Holguín, and Guantánamo have micro-generation systems that allow them to supply energy to the thermoelectric plants and activate units in Cienfuegos, Nuevitas (Camagüey), and Santiago de Cuba.
The island’s government emphasizes that the recovery of the national electric system is in its early stages, but efforts continue for its complete restoration. “We are working methodically and safely to avoid setbacks and achieve a total restoration of the system,” stated the Communist Party’s account.
In a subsequent news report by the same account, it was stated that “the Cuban Aviation Corporation (Cacsa) reports that the facilities, services, and systems of the country’s ten international airports have energy backup to ensure all services for the aircraft”.
The UN envoy for Western Sahara, Staffan de Mistura, has privately proposed the partition of the territory between Morocco and the Polisario Front as a solution to the dispute.
He has also said in the UN Security Council that "the time has come for Morocco to explain and detail its proposal for autonomy."
According to De Mistura, the partition "could allow for the creation of an independent state in the southern part, and the integration of the rest of the territory as part of Morocco, with its sovereignty over it internationally recognized."
One more partitioning a country into to parts, it will work this time trust me
The owner of Bridgewater Place in downtown Grand Rapids has filed for bankruptcy, Crain’s Grand Rapids Business reports.
Crain’s reports that Hertz Properties Group, the owner of Bridgewater Place, has asked for bankruptcy protection in Israeli Court.
Bridgewater Place is located at 333 Bridge Street along US-131. The 17-story building has the name “Varnum” on it and it is connected to River House Condos.
Hertz Properties Group used bonds traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange to finance the purchase of Bridgewater and 10 other office properties located throughout the U.S., according to Crain’s. It reports that as the company deals with financial issues spurred by a post-pandemic drop in the real estate market, the bondholders are seeking repayment
I get the feeling that the "Freyer" discourse (word which basically means the person taken advantage of) is the beginning of the anti-Semitism which will definitely be terrible once this genocide is ended and the Zionists are forced to flee. And it's the fault of the Zionist settler-colony that this will happen.
Sorry if I'm changing the subject away from the Palestinians themselves (whose suffering immensely eclipses that of anti-jewish sentiments right now, of course), but seeing the comments on Twitter about this concept gave me an insight into the form that the anti-jewish sentiment will be (again) in the future.
Some news from the Lebanon, Kursk, and Syria fronts.
Lebanese Hezbollah resistance forces have eliminated around 55 Zionist invaders (and wounded over 500) and destroyed 20 Merkava tanks along the border since October 1st:

The United States is investigating an unauthorized release of classified documents that assess Israel’s plans to attack Iran, three unnamed US officials told The Associated Press news agency.
A fourth US official said the documents appear to be legitimate.
The documents – attributed to the US National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency and marked “top secret” – indicate Israel is moving military assets into place to conduct a strike in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on October 1.
It is unclear how the US and its European allies are planning to prevent a spiralling escalation of the direct violence between Iran and Israel.
The US provides Israel with at least $3.8bn in military assistance annually, and an additional $18bn in aid since the war on Gaza began in early October 2023.
An informed source within the U.S. intelligence community has shared with us an extremely sensitive 'top secret' U.S. intelligence document from the NGIA, dated October 15-16, detailing Israeli preparations for an extensive strike inside Iran
According to the report, the U.S. has observed the Israeli Air Force handling ALBMs (air-launched ballistic missiles) like 'Golden Horizon' (at least 16) and 'ROCKS' (at least 40) at Hatserim airbase since October 8. If all of these are used, it would be a major attack.
From October 15 to October 16 the Israeli Air Force also handled several ASMs (air-to-surface missiles) at Ramot David and Ramon airbases, indicating an imminent attack.
Be aware of clickbait posts about satellite imagery of the Israeli Tel Nof airbase, the base where impacts from Iranian ballistic missiles caused secondary explosions captured on video. The publically available satellite imagery is not of a high enough resolution to accurately make any kind of damage assessment or analysis.
Dozens of soon-to-be-retired Australian Abrams tanks will be sent to Ukraine under a $245 million military support package.
[...]
More than a year after Kyiv first expressed interest in the aging M1A1 fleet, and months after Australia rejected a request to donate its grounded Taipan helicopters, the Albanese government has confirmed it will now gift 49 of the American-made tanks.
The Taipan helicopters that kept crashing lol
"One of the unique elements of the Australian tanks is that they're in reasonably good working order. The fact the Ukrainians already have some M1A1s in theatre from the allies suggests there's a good logistics chain there as well as some training," he told the ABC.
yeah because they don't get used. As long as the government keeps buying american tanks right? The article mentions they had to get permission to send them to ukraine too. sovereign borders and social cohesion, oh yeah.
And then there's this tidbit:
"We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Ukraine in their fight against Russia's illegal invasion," Mr Conroy.
fascinating stuff, let me just quickly google the honourable ministers press releases:
Further humanitarian assistance to Occupied Palestinian Territories and the region
Joint media release with:
Senator the Hon Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs
16 January 2024
Australia will provide an additional $21.5 million in humanitarian assistance to the Middle East, including in response to the urgent and ongoing humanitarian needs resulting from the Hamas-Israel conflict.
wow look at those numbers! You wont believe me if I tell you that measly amount went directly to NGOs, wow!
Another one about ukraine from may confirms the aus govt has provided over 1billion aud this year. Maybe I'll still be mad in the morning and I'll make a graph.

Danish Regime Threaten Sanctions Against Iran’s Revolutionary Guard
Senior officials from the hard right Liberal and Moderate parties that make up two thirds of the reclusive Nordic kingdom's succdem-led right-wing regime has issued new threats against Iran. The two parties are demanding that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard should be placed on the EU’s so-called "terror list", a registry of global south organisations seen by the EU as working against the western bloc's geopolitical ambitions.
In a carefully choreographed appearance in state media outlet TV 2, Liberal Party firebrand Michael Aastrup Jensen said that "We simply have to admit that what Iran is doing in the Middle East and around the world is terrorism." without offering any evidence to back up his bombastic claims. Moderate Party official Henrik Frandsen has admitted to his party's anti-Iranian line, going on the record to say that "With a terror classification, sanctions can be imposed that are significantly harsher than what is currently possible"
The Danish threats follows demands made by Sweden’s supreme leader for a joint Western classification of the IRGC as "terrorists".
Leader of the worker's (Trotskyist) party of Algeria calls for updating the 2025 budget to include Palestine and Lebanon:
After commending the current diplomatic mission of Algeria, she called for Algerian authorities to stop funding the Palestinian authorities, as she criticized them heavily for being "Zionist comparadors".
Also she called for coordination with Jordanian authorities to assist in aid and helping injured north Gazans in their situation of famine and shortages due to the continues zionist aggression.
She also left a very large part of her speech to comment the leader Yahia Sinwar, as she described him a "legendary leader", and that although his death is tragic it will not slow resistance down.
She also attacked a lot of Arabic channels and described them as "zionists", saying that they aim to plant strife among Palestinian and Lebanese people, and attempting to isolate the resistance from its population.
She finished her speech by saying that the zionist entity lives in a state of collapse due to the strikes done by the resistance of Lebanon and Palestine, despite of all the massacres and destruction.
I don't understand calling the PA comparadors but in the same time reach for Jordan, but okay.
Interview with the doctor who wrote the opinion piece for the New York Crimes about the genocided children, and a nurse and humanitarian aid worker from Al Shifa:
Lol gave anne applebaum a "price for freedom" and in her speech she gave a passionate appeal for germany to send more military aid to ukraine and fight russia in the name of peace.
General elections will be held in Uruguay on 27 October 2024. It seems the Broad Front (Frente Amplio) (Union of all the relevant leftist, socdem, demsoc, left liberal parties) is going to win.
Not sure if this is anything but I’m trying to book a flight and hotel, two separate companies, and I’m getting host errors (Cloudflare seems to be fine though?). Weird delays and failures in other websites too. In talking with people over the phone at these companies too they’re getting server/hosting errors as well. Just kind of weird
Edit: also some phone calls just not connecting…strange
By popular request we're bringing on Jon Elmer of Electronic Intifada to talk about the overall situation in the Palestine/Lebanon battle-space and how the IOF will not be able to maintain its operations forever. Israel is also facing social and economic collapse, but we're still a ways from that.
This news is already a few months old, but it's still very funny to see how stupid Milei is. Last year, or earlier this year, Milei visited Brazil to meet Bolsonaro and receive a medal that basically said he was very sexy, cool and impossible to kill (it's much worse than that, actually). And so far he hasn't met with Lula da Silva, the president of Argentina's most important regional ally and trading partner.
So, since Milei hasn't met with Lula da Silva, what was Brazil's plan? I remember reading in some media that Brazil had three plans: the first was for Milei to basically become Macri 2.0 (normal, boring neoliberal) and be respectful of Brazil and China. The second was that Milei would continue to be an idiot, but would beg for money and help behind the scenes, and the third was that Brazil and China would not talk to Milei at all and would instead talk to the Argentine congress and governors.
Lula decided to go for the third option, invited Axel Kicillof (a left-wing Peronist, former Minister of the Economy and currently Governor of Buenos Aires, and probably a much better candidate than Sergio Massa) to the Presidential Palace and gave him the treatment of a foreign head of state (which Macron also did with Lula da Silva when Lula was running for president in 2022. Macron hates Bolsonaro very much because Bolsonaro said Macron's wife was ugly and old, and France has interests in Brazil and especially in the sale of nuclear material and arms to Brazil). Kicillof basically did what Milei had to do, meanwhile Milei was calling the wife of Spain's prime minister a criminal to own the Zurdos on Instagram and posting AI generating lions while screaming "Libertad Carajo!!"
So, today here in Brazil a case made headlines: a nine-year-old broke into a vet hospital, tortured and killed 23 animals... I don't know what to say, this is one of the most brutal things I've read in a very long time, really fucked me up. How does this happen? How can a child be capable of such cruelty? Isn't there some kind of innate empathy towards other mammals? What the fuck is going on inside that boy's brain?
Man, jesus fucking christ... this world can be a very grim place sometimes
British Columbia, one of Canada's most populous provinces, had a provincial election yesterday that is turning out to be a real nail biter.
Some background, BC spent the early oughts through 2017 run by the BC Liberals, the right wing provincial party. In 2017 the NDP, the left wing party, won a squeaker of a win and formed a minority government with the green party. 2020 saw a resounding NDP victory and they formed a majority government. In the last couple years the BC Liberals imploded and rebranded as the BC Conservatives. The rebranded BC Conservatives use a Canadian maga aesthetic and have done a stereotypically incoherent campaign against social welfare, indigenous, and LGBT people. The NDP portray themselves as social democrats but govern as neoliberals without some of the worst excesses of neoliberalism (but just some - they still supported the RCMP in their attacks on wetsuweten land defenders and protestors at fairy Creek). The BC Greens are similar to the NDP and so aren't bloodthirsty as the German greens or as geopolitically aware as the US Greens.
This election in 2024 looks to be a repeat of 2017, with NDP on track to hold 46 seats, cons 45 and the greens 2, where 47 is needed for a majority. The final count will be done in a week.
So look forward to new talking points from "well, actually " columnists telling us that the directive doesn't mean what it says?
In part, these rumors’ spread may be the result of a data void — a situation where there is no reliable information available about a particular topic in search results or social media platforms. At this time, there are no published fact-checks of any of the core allegations or any official statements addressing the rumors. This absence of information has allowed influencers on social media, right-wing media outlets, and conspiracy theory-focused blogs to fill the void with conspiratorial frames about the document’s intent and implications for the election.
The multi-platform and multi-partisan spread, increased engagement by political influencers, and integration into broader conversations speculating about political violence around the upcoming election signal that these rumors will be important to watch — and potentially address with fact checks and explanations — in the coming days and weeks.
I typed up a electoralism brain(gross I know) rant about polling in reply to [@Parzivus@hexbear.net (https://hexbear.net/u/Parzivus) bc I'm poster brained.
I mean yea, it's bad bc Dems need to lead like 3ish% on national polls bc electoral college. Also people, I'm talking generally not saying this is you, wish cast polling errors oh it was wrong in favor of trump(2016) or it was wrong in favor of Dems(2022). When in reality there usually very specific errors in the polling. In 2016 people though Texas would flip bc bad polling practices in heavily Hispanic areas or in 22 putting too much weight in junk pollsters. Even with those errors if you actually look at polls say in 2016 the week of election polls had Clinton up on average around 3% and the margin of error on those polls were like +-1.7-3.5%. She won the popular vote by 2.1%, a result well with the margins of polling.
Like poor analysis in media is a given, the polling is for the most part very sound
Sorry I don't really have an outlet to talk politics shit. I typed all this out so I may as well post. I kinda rant some times on here, Im hating on you.
In a serious violation of Danish labor and health laws, a company in Western Zealand employed two children, aged 14-15, to remove asbestos roofing from a large structure without proper safety measures. The incident was discovered by the Working Environment Authority during an inspection in Sønderborg. The children, who were part of a school internship program, were found handling 550 square meters of asbestos-containing materials, which can cause fatal lung diseases when inhaled. They were working without supervision or protective equipment. Asbestos has been banned in building materials in Denmark for decades due to its severe health risks. The authorities, including the police, tax office, education agencies and municipal authorities have been alerted.
**European Rise in Asbestos-related Cancer Cases**
New data from the European Union show a troubling rise in mesothelioma cases, a type of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. Between 2013 and 2021, the EU recorded over 13,500 cases, with the number of new diagnoses increasing again after years of decline. In 2021 alone, 1,409 cases were diagnosed, and 2,380 people died from asbestos-related diseases in the EU. Denmark had 49 deaths from mesothelioma that same year. Despite asbestos being banned in construction, many workers, especially in the renovation and demolition sectors, are still exposed to the material in older buildings. The European Parliament warns that deaths from asbestos exposure could rise to 120,000 annually by 2029 if stricter regulations are not enforced.
**Regime to Sell CO2 Quotas**
The succdem-led right-wing regime is moving forward with a plan to sell CO2 emission quotas as part of its efforts to fund climate initiatives under the so-called "Green Denmark Agreement." The scheme allows companies that have not used all their emission quotas to sell the excess to others struggling to meet their targets, essentially allowing wealthier, larger corporations to buy their way out of making necessary reductions. Critics, including climate economists and media outlets, argue that this approach will lead to increased CO2 emissions across Europe by shifting the problem rather than solving it. The plan is part of a broader agreement on climate policy involving agriculture, industry, and environmental groups, but it is seen by some as a loophole that favors factory farming and heavy industry.
**Succdem Mayors Critical of Green Agreement**
Several succdem mayors from the municipalities hardest hit by oxygen depletion in coastal waters have criticized the succdem-led right-wing regime's green tripartite agreement, claiming it lets the agricultural sector off too easily. The mayors, citing a leaked draft of the agreement, argue that the chosen nitrogen reduction model is too lenient and will not do enough to restore life to damaged fjords and coastal areas. Agriculture accounts for 70% of Denmark’s nitrogen emissions, which are a major cause of oxygen depletion and marine life death in Danish waters. The succdem-controlled Ministry of Finance has proposed three scenarios for nitrogen reduction, but only the most ambitious scenario meets the targets set by environmental groups like the Danish Society for Nature Conservation. However, the regime seems inclined to pursue less stringent measures, which the mayors say will perpetuate environmental damage.
Greenpeace activists staged a protest at the headquarters of Danish Crown, one of the world's largest pork producers, to draw attention to the company's significant methane emissions. Methane is a highly potent greenhouse gas, and Danish Crown's emissions are equivalent to 83% of Denmark's total methane output from animal production. The protest involved pink smoke and banners with slogans like “Danish Crown, your methane cooks our climate.” Greenpeace accuses Danish Crown of contributing heavily to global warming, noting that methane is responsible for about one-third of global temperature increases. The protest was part of a larger international campaign targeting major meat and dairy producers for their environmental impact.
**Majority of Danes Oppose Higher Retirement Age**
A significant portion of the Danish public opposes the regime's plan to raise the retirement age to 70 by 2040. In a survey two-thirds of respondents said they would prefer the retirement age to either remain at 67 or be lowered. Only 8% support increasing the retirement age in line with rising life expectancy, while 18% favor a more gradual increase. The regime's proposal, aimed at addressing demographic shifts and fiscal pressures from ab aging population, faces strong resistance from citizens who worry about the physical and mental strain of working longer, especially in physically demanding jobs.
**High Work Pressure**
A survey conducted by emergency services corporation Falck reveals that work pressure is becoming a major concern for Danish workers, with one in six workers frequently feeling overwhelmed. The survey, which included 3,000 respondents, found that 70% feel their workplaces lack a culture of openness around mental health and well-being. The report highlights that prolonged periods of high work pressure can have negative impacts on personal lives, creating a vicious cycle of stress and burnout. The survey also shows that 80% of employees believe their employers are not doing enough to support mental health.
**Academics' Union Exit Negotiation Coalition**
Denmark’s largest public-sector union for academics, representing 75,000 employees, has withdrawn from the public sector central negotiation body FF. The union, which includes professionals such as doctors, physiotherapists, and psychologists, decided to leave due to disagreements over wage policy. The academics' union has been critical of proposals to reduce wage gaps by raising wages for low-paid workers and for female-dominated professions and has opposed proposals to reform the current model of giving raises as a percentage of wages. The decision to withdraw comes after the union negotiated separately during recent public sector wage agreements. Leaders of FF expressed disappointment, emphasizing the value of solidarity in collective bargaining.
**New Revolutionary Communist Party**
In October, a new political party, the Revolutionary Communist Party (RKP), was founded in Denmark during a political festival in Copenhagen. The party is based on Marxist principles and aims to represent the progressive side of Denmark’s growing political polarization. Victor Murray, a party leader, explained that while the right-wing has many reactionary parties, the left lacks a party that fully expresses the progressive side of the polarization. The RKP joins a crowded field of communist parties in Denmark, including the Danish Communist Party, the Communist Party, and the Workers’ Communist Party, but it hopes to carve out a distinct space on the far-left of Danish politics.

What is the Hannibal Directive anyway? I read the Wiki but the article quoted that the Israeli's don't target their own troops in order to civilians, but it was employed as policy during 10/7.
Their liberalism shows through quite a bit: they "love liberal democracy" and line-go-up and all that. Still some good discussion regarding Ukraine, Russia, China, India, Iran, and Palestine/Isntrael.
Lokomotiv soundly beat Kunlun Red Star 5-1, they were like a runaway freight train scoring twice in the first, twice more in the second, and a final goal in the third! Red Star managed a goal towards the end of the second but they just weren't able to compete with the momentum Lokomotiv had!

Rosa Lund and Pelle Dragsted from Denmark's Red-Greens has sent in a silly letter. I will not print it but instead give a short summary of it.
The letter comes in a response to an article in the daily Arbejderen, in which reports on the succdem-led right-wing regime's plans to use hate speech laws to criminalise the pro-Palestinian and anti-genocide movement under the guise of fighting "the new antisemitism". I have posted about this earlier.
These are the points made by the two:
The proposed legislation does not seek to criminalise the pro-Palestinian movement, if it did more people would be mad about it and the Red-Greens wouldn't support it.
The law only covers hate speech and you can say all sorts of things without it being hate speech, just look at all the shit Nazis get away with saying in public. (The law being blind on the right eye? Not in my epic librul democracy)
Saying "from the river to the sea" will not be criminalised. It is the courts and not the police who decides what constitutes "hate speech" and the courts has not yet ruled on that phrase. (The courts hasn't decided it yet, well then we're safe. We know how critical they are towards political signals and the police)
It is not true that the law attempts to define "contempt for the 'state of Israel'" as antisemitism. The official definition remains that of the IHRA (rabid zionist organisation that includes anti-zionism in its definition of antisemitism). The only thing that changes with the proposal is that funding will be provided for research in "antisemitism rooted in contempt for the 'state of Israel", doing so exactly the same as funding research into islamophobia rooted in contempt for the Iranian state (something they would never do).
The constitution and the European convention on human rights protects freeze peach so the state actually can't ban criticism of any country even if they wanted to. (The ECHR also applies in Germany btw, a country famous for allowing anti-zionist speech)
It is not true that the proposal will empower police to order operators of websites to remove "terrorist-related" material within 60 minutes without first obtaining a court order. They can already do that and the proposal just removes the time limit. These rules are there because the EU says so (and then we can't talk about whether it's a good idea?). And don't worry, the police will have to ask the courts for permission afterwards (our wonderful courts who always applies pure impartial justice and are highly critical of the security state). And the police has never used those powers before (so they won't use them in the future?).
This, ladies, enbies and gentlemen, is what passes for far left thought in the west.

The 16th Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas is taking place in the city of Mendoza. From Monday to Wednesday, U.S. Southern Command Gen. Laura Richardson and defense ministers from 23 countries will meet in Argentina to coordinate hemispheric cooperation actions.
Argentine Defense Minister Luis Petri inaugurated the 16th Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas (CDMA), as his country currently holds the temporary presidency of this forum, which was established in 1995. This meeting is taking place in the city of Mendoza, where participants will elect the CDMA Pro Tempore Secretariat for the 2025-2026 term and will deliver a ministerial declaration.
The Mendoza meeting was preceded by a series of meetings of various working groups: one on cooperation in humanitarian assistance and military relief in cases of natural or man-made disasters, another on women, peace, and security, and a third on cyber defense and cyberspace.
Two of the most relevant international issues that will take center stage in this year’s discussions are the war between Ukraine and Russia, and the conflicts triggered by Israel in the Middle East and their implications for Latin America.
Currently, the Mendoza meeting includes Wayne Munroe (Bahamas), Florencio Marin (Belize), Jose Mucio Monteiro (Brazil), William Blair (Canada), Maya Fernandez Allende (Chile), Ivan Velazquez (Colombia), Gian Loffredo (Ecuador), Henry Saenz (Guatemala), and Jean Berthier Antoine (Haiti).
Mark Anthony Phillips (Guyana), Latoya Waugh-Bryce (Jamaica), Enrique Covarrubias (Mexico), Jacinth Henry-Martin (Saint Kitts & Nevis), Darryl Daniel (Trinidad & Tobago), Jose Manuel Zelaya (Honduras), Frank Abrego (Panama), Oscar Gonzalez (Paraguay), Walter Astudillo (Peru), Carlos Fernandez (Dominican Republic), Krishnakoemarie Mathoera (Suriname), Armando Castaingdebat (Uruguay), and U.S. Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro are also at the CDMA summit.
Representatives from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela were not invited to the Menzoza meeting, despite the latter two being part of the 34 nations of the Americas that make up the CDMA.
Vityaz beat Lokomotiv 2-1 today, Vityaz opened up with two goals in the first period and held onto that lead for whole game. Lokomotiv managed to score in the back half of the third and even pulled their goalie in the last minute to try to tie it up but to no avail.

This might be a controversial take, but I'm frankly pro the west winning on this one
Moldova is in a tug of war between Russia and the EU at the moment, and it looks like both are going all out.
Now, obviously I don't support the EU or western interests expanding, but, and this may be chauvinist brainworms,I do believe Moldova's future, minus Transnistria is to be reunited with us. Either us or Russia, because as it stands it's really not viable as a state. Again, this is the only point where I believe Romania's interests should align with the west.If the EU project can limp along enough for us to practically reunite before it dies,I'd see that as a win.Either way maybe we can work out something like a Romanian-Moldovan Schengen since neither of us are getting in the actual one and pave the way for reunification.
More China playing both sides so it always comes out on top news, apparently they are canceling deals with Cuba to punish it for walking back privatization.
Brain-empty speculation: iran did really threaten gulf american-backed regimes with striking their oil infrastructure, if they open air space for terrorist entity planes. So now isntreal is planning to use jordan/syria/iraq airspace, that's why its taking so long. Iraq would be thrilled.
Hexbear wouldn’t work for me so I went to Left-Reddit and came across leftists who praise Kruschev and blame Stalin for all of the USSR’s problems, including the Sino-Soviet split. Also praised the Gorbachev era for wanting to reform and create stronger ties with the West.
This site is the only left-space online I can find that isn’t entirely baked in liberalism.
