Water companies in England and Wales ordered to pay £158m back to customers – Channel 4 News
Water companies in England and Wales have been ordered to pay £158 million back to customers - after the regulators found they had missed key targets on pollution and leaks.
In 2022/2023, England's water firms made a staggering £1.7bn in pre-tax profits. This fine is just chump change for them and doesn’t fix anything.

Is it enough? That's more debatable.
