Nobody wants to die. It takes a lot for someone to risk death to make a statement. It’s a feeling I will never be able to fully understand because I’m not there living this reality with him.
Another way of putting it — saying “be smarter” is like telling a minimum wage worker to stop spending money on lattes and they’ll become rich.
You’re thinking too rationally. It is nigh impossible to be rational in a situation where you are hungry, tired, and could die at any moment from a drone strike.
What does “be smarter” even mean? Move out of Gaza?
🤷 I wouldn’t fret the downvotes too much. Unlike Reddit it means practically nothing here. It bothers you a whole lot more than it bothers me.
IMO, the least interesting conversations are ones where everyone agrees. When opinions differ, the real tragedy is when we stop listening to the other side.
For what it’s worth, I’m more than happy to keep listening.
I don't understand the downvotes here. Maybe it's insensitive to say this just after he got killed, but I don't want people like this to get killed. I want them to be smart and have a real effect on stopping what Israel is doing here.
