HMNZS Manawanui ran aground Saturday night.
No serious injuries, thankfully. What a colossal screw up though.
The HMNZS Manawanui - a specialist dive and hydrographic vessel - was conducting a reef survey when it hit the reef on Saturday night.
Reef successfully surveyed. Results: it's there.
Well, it was.... That ship is going to release so many hydrocarbons, the reef may not survive.
