Cave crawling is akin to mountaineering, in which it shares a lot of techniques. Except with a cave you don't exactly know what is after the odd opening. Ive known some of these people and they are unique. I saw reports that this cave had long vertices, so they had some effort getting him out of there on a stretcher.
