I'm going to find a professional out there in my area who can listen to all my concerns about stuff like diagnosing/dealing with AuDHD, talking about dealing with family stuff, and just my general desire to be a better person/communicate better. I don't think I can just indefinitely keep my problems inside the way I've been doing.
I would recommend a therapist! Although keep in mind that the first therapist you meet might not be the best fit for you (I went through several until I found someone I had productive sessions with). It takes time and energy but the long term benefits are definitely worth it
I know. It's kinda been discouraging to think about but, I have to start somewhere. The one I had in college listened but, then couldn't really offer the best feedback.
My partner pushed me to go after being in denial and it definitely was worth it! I currently have found good queer-friendly or at least leftie ish therapists on https://complicated.life also good filtering, idk any other sites
Psychology Today is another good jumping off point if you use their filters to get rid of people doing "Christian therapy" and whatever. Sometimes info is vague but its enough to be able to then look at individual websites for more detail. And I always see handfuls of people who specialize in working with LGBTQ people and other specific backgrounds or diagnoses.
